Along with the improvement of the new elementary education reform,the three-level curriculum system has been founded,school-based curriculum has been focused in most of the schools of China.The rational use of local curriculum resources plays a significant role in the supplement of nation curriculum resources and the development of school-based curriculum.To carry forward excellent traditional Chinese culture is emphasized in national Art Curriculum Standard of the full-time compulsory education,which advocates that art teaching should be implemented through full utilizing culture heritage of mankind by teachers.Huizhou brick carving,as Chinese intangible cultural heritage,as a reflection of Chinese culture and wisdom,as the precious wealth of Chinese people,plays a brilliant role in the development of art school-based curriculum.Through the investigation on the implementation of art lessons with the utilization of local curriculum resources in junior middle schools in Hefei city,it was found that art lessons were neglected comparing to literacy lessons in current junior middle schools,the number of developed school-based lessons was inadequate and few the school-based lessons which were developed on Huizhou brick carving could be found.Firstly,the art resources in Anhui province are summarized and introduced in this paper.Secondly,in accordance with Dewey' s and Tyler's curriculum theories,the intrinsic value and developing value of Huizhou brick carving are analyzed objectively.Thirdly,through a survey to junior middle school students and teachers in Hefei city and an investigation to current situation of local art lessons,the possibility to develop Huizhou brick carving in art school-based curriculum of junior middle school is proved with detailed and accurate data.Finally,based on the resources of Huizhou brick carving,the art school-based curriculum standard is compiled and the corresponding textbook is designed in adaption to the development and utilization of students.This paper aims to promote the formation of school educational characteristics of art,to heightened students' awareness of loving and inheriting Huizhou brick carving as intangible cultural heritage,to achieve a win-win situation of art education and cultural heritage,to make the traditional culture of Huizhou brick carving ooze epochal charm.
