A Research Group On Improving The Employment Ability Of Female Community Correction Subjects From The Perspective Of Empowermen

On December 28,019,the Standing Committee of the 13 th National People’s Congress passed the Community Corrections Law of the People’s Republic of China,emphasizing that community corrections institutions can carry out vocational skills training and employment guidance for community corrections targets with employment difficulties,and at the same time proposed that social work should play a professional role in community corrections.The employment situation of this group of female community corrections targets is generally poor,and it is the job responsibility of corrections workers to help female community corrections targets improve their employment difficulties and promote their reintegration into society.From the perspective of social work profession,this study took female corrections personnel in the community as the research subjects,and conducted an in-depth understanding of the employment situation and employment needs of female corrections personnel in the community through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews,and found that the problems of low education level,poor employment status and insufficient employability of female community corrections subjects were common.Based on the analysis and demand estimation of the employment problems of female community corrections,under the guidance of empowerment theory,the employability improvement group activities were carried out for female community corrections.This group activity focused on three aspects: improving employment cognitive bias,carrying out employment skills training,and broadening employment channels,and carried out a total of 7 group activities,so as to help female community correctional subjects improve their self-awareness,improve their employability,acquire employment skills for survival,and better return to society.It is found that the use of empowerment mode can effectively help community correctional subjects improve their employability,explore the advantages of service targets and link relevant resources to help achieve service goals,and improve employability has a positive effect on the return of female correctional targets to society.However,this group service also needs to be further improved,in the future in the process of group practice,social workers should better play the role of supporters,fully respect the differences of group members,and continue to consolidate the effectiveness of group services.
