Social Work Intervention In Social Exclusion Of Female Community Correctional Clients

The community correctional subjects face the pressure of various aspects of life while under the compulsory supervision of judicial organs,and often fall into a double dilemma,and it is very difficult for the correctional subjects to get out of this dilemma by themselves,so they need to repair their social relationships,re-establish social networks,so as to obtain more support and help,and complete their re-socialization so that they can be truly liberated and redeemed.China officially implemented the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Community Corrections on July 1,2021,which gives legal and institutional protection to community corrections work.Its legislative spirit and content are generally conducive to better promote the re-socialization of community correctional officers,with special provisions for community correction of minors.However,as a socially vulnerable group of women,the content of the concern is not sufficient,only the correctional team needs to be female provisions.And in the specific implementation of correction work,often can not make a difference to the correction process of female correctional subjects.Female community corrections have special characteristics,so their correction work should also have a certain degree of relevance.This is mainly due to the physiological characteristics of women,the social structure of the status characteristics,psychological characteristics and other factors.Women’s physiological characteristics and status characteristics in the social structure,,the moral pressure to differentiate from men will also have an impact on women’s community corrections.The same transgressive behavior can result in differences in the moral pressures given by the social culture to the different genders involved.The combination of social pressure and their own psychological characteristics can lead to social rejection of female community corrections clients.Social rejection and social counter-rejection in female resocialization exist in interaction and reinforce each other.In this study,female correctional clients in Y Judicial Institute in Chongqing were studied,and through participation in their correctional process of observation and specific interview research,it was found that the social rejection and counter-rejection of female community correctional clients are more special.The current correctional work does not differentiate education and correction for this group,and employment assistance needs to be strengthened,which leads to difficulties in their social integration after discharge.Community correctional penalties are issued by the official force,female community correctional crimes are less serious,and the environment in the community to participate in correction is more familiar,making female community correctional subjects do not have a clear understanding of their status as criminals,often resulting in the rejection of the official force.Their subjective feelings of rejection and the objective reality of rejection have not been dissolved.This paper explores the social rejection and anti-rejection of female community correctional clients,and intervenes in the social rejection of some female community correctional clients by means of group work,and achieves good results,exploring methods and accumulating practical experience for social work intervention in this group of female community correctional clients.
