| With the rapid development of China’s economy,the congenital disability rate has significantly decreased,but the disability rate caused by accidents and special diseases continues to rise.According to the Blue Book of the "Development Report on the Cause of Disabled Persons in China(2018)",the total number of various types of disabled persons in China is 85 million,exceeding 6.21% of the total population.There are a total of 8.17 million disabled children aged 0-14 in China,accounting for 2.67% of the total number of children.Disabled children are a vulnerable group and should receive attention and assistance from all sectors of society.Compared to other types of disabled people,the visually impaired group in this article has received less social attention.Children are in the germination stage of growth,which is a critical stage of growth.They are not as strong as adults in strength,thinking and adaptability,and are more vulnerable to the influence of different factors such as family,school,society and peer groups in the growth process.Visually impaired children have encountered physical difficulties and need a good growth atmosphere to help them cultivate sound personalities and qualities.In recent years,the cause of social work in China has been growing,and the government has paid more attention to the rights and interests of vulnerable groups,providing professional and accurate services for different types of disabled children through various ways.Therefore,assisting disabled children in their growth and development should become one of the research topics for social workers.The focus of this article is on the growth process of visually impaired children,including the difficulties and needs they encounter.In order to ensure the scientificity of the research,the author consulted relevant materials through literature research to understand the current research status of social work and assistance for disabled children at home and abroad.Through interviews,gain a deeper understanding of the issues and needs of service recipients and develop plans.Guided by the theory of advantage perspective,focusing on the advantages of service objects rather than problems,empowering and empowering service objects through advantageous resources.Through a complete case service process,reflecting on the practical and theoretical application methods of visually impaired children,summarizing the precautions and difficulties in the interaction process between social workers and visually impaired children,committed to helping social workers provide service guidelines.The current situation of the use of the advantage perspective theory in disability social work is summarized.By using case work methods,we aim to help disabled children adjust their family relationships,enhance their optimism towards life,expand their scope of interest activities,promote social participation,and clarify future plans,creating a friendly atmosphere for growth.At present,the development of social work in China is still in its early stages,so social workers need to conduct in-depth theoretical research,continuously promote the professional development of social work,and enrich research in the field of disabled social work. |
