In recent years,China has continuously emerged excellent tennis players, such as Li Na,who won two Grand Slam singles championships,Shang Jun,Cheng, who won the first place in the youth world, and Wu Yibing, who became the first Chinese to win the ATP championship in Chinese history in 2023.These excellent athletes have made more Chinese and even the world aware of China’s tennis power, and also made more people in China begin to attach importance to the development of tennis. With the gradual increase in the popularity of tennis in China, tennis has also been loved by many college students, and universities have gradually begun to offer tennis public sports courses. However, the difficulty of tennis is relatively high for beginners who have no basic knowledge, and it is difficult to get started. Many students cannot even complete their movements after a semester of learning. In addition, although various colleges and universities have begun to offer tennis public physical education classes, the class hour schedule for a semester is relatively small, and the teaching mode is single, usually using traditional teaching methods. This teaching method is relatively mechanical and boring, often difficult for students to master tennis skills within a limited time, and even makes students lose interest in learning. Therefore, how to improve students’ tennis skills and stimulate learning interest in the limited teaching time is a common problem in current college tennis teaching. The video feedback method used in this study is a new teaching method that combines modern image technology and online teaching platforms on the basis of traditional teaching models. This teaching method can to some extent make up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching methods. This article explores the application effect of video feedback method in tennis public physical education classes in colleges and universities through the use of literature, questionnaires, expert interviews, experiments, and mathematical statistics. This study selected 2022 non sports majors from the Minzu University of China as the experimental subjects, and selected two classes, namely the control class and the experimental class.During the experiment, the control class used traditional teaching methods, while the experimental class used video feedback methods. After 8 weeks of teaching experiments for a total of 16 class hours, the following conclusions were reached:1.The video feedback method is conducive to improving students’ learning efficiency and quality, enabling them to better master tennis skills in a limited time.2.The video feedback method is more conducive to students forming a correct movement representation within a limited time, enabling students to more intuitively and clearly identify their own technical problems, and make timely improvements under the guidance of teachers or classmates,so as to gradually improve their technical actions.3.Through comparative analysis of experimental data, video feedback method can better stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm and effectively enhance students’ interest in tennis learning compared to traditional teaching methods.4.Using video feedback in teaching can effectively improve students’autonomy in learning, and due to the frequent information interaction between students and teachers in the classroom,it can achieve the goal of activating the classroom atmosphere.5.Compared to traditional teaching methods, video feedback method can stimulate students’ team awareness and effectively improve learning efficiency.6.The video feedback method can increase students’ extracurricular exercise time and help cultivate students’ awareness of lifelong sports.
