The promulgation of the "Chinese Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" has attracted widespread attention from the education industry and society.The proposal of concepts such as "Chinese core literacy" and "learning task group" means that the new curriculum standards place the cultivation and development of students’ quality at the center of Chinese education.Teachers should base themselves on the development laws of students’ core literacy and actively and creatively carry out Chinese teaching activities.Classic reading has become an excellent carrier for cultivating students’ core competencies due to its rich language materials and profound ideological and artistic content.Teaching classic reading is an indispensable part of Chinese language teaching,guiding students in the direction of reading classic works.However,in the current teaching of middle school classic reading,there are prominent phenomena such as "fake reading","rough reading",and "shallow reading",which require teachers to explore more suitable teaching methods to solve these problems.As a dynamic teaching method,project-based learning starts from real problems,always pays attention to students’ performance,and guides students to engage in meaningful learning through practical activities.This article aims to apply project-based learning to the teaching of middle school classic reading,promoting students’ independent reading,authentic reading,and deep reading,and improving the quality and effectiveness of classic reading.This article is mainly divided into five parts.The introduction section introduces the research background,significance,content,and methods of this article,and provides a literature review on related research such as "project-based learning" and "classic reading teaching".Chapter 1 provides a basis for the application of project-based learning in middle school classic reading teaching by explaining conceptual characteristics,establishing theoretical support,and analyzing application value.Chapter 2,based on existing teaching cases,establishes the overall framework of project-based learning for middle school classic reading,designs the constituent elements and teaching content in the three stages of "project initiation","project implementation",and "project evaluation",and proposes specific application strategies.Chapter 3,based on the already established framework,takes the famous work "Morning Flowers and Evening Picks" selected from the first volume of the seventh grade Chinese language textbook as an example to design project-based learning teaching.At the same time,apply teaching design to actual classrooms and record the process of teaching classic reading.Chapter 4 reviews this teaching practice activity,summarizes the effectiveness of its application,reflects on its shortcomings,and provides practical and feasible improvement strategies for the better application of project-based learning in the teaching of middle school classic reading.Based on theoretical research and teaching practice,this article concludes that project-based learning is more suitable for middle school classic reading,in order to improve the teaching status of middle school classic reading,encourage students to engage in meaningful reading activities,and provide useful reference and reference for the construction of classic reading courses.
