Reading is the process of students’ active acquisition of knowledge,and it is the process of readers adjusting and controlling according to different reading purposes to cultivate their emotions and improve their self-cultivation.In language teaching,reading teaching has always been a key focus.Primary school Chinese reading teaching in each stage has different importance,the elementary school second period of Chinese reading teaching assume the vital role,the task is not only to realize the first period of reading teaching and the third transition of reading teaching,also covers the special task of students’ comprehensive quality.By studying the current situation of Chinese reading teaching in the second stage of X Primary school,this study finds out the problems and explores the causes,which provides reference for the implementation and improvement of Chinese reading teaching in the second stage of local primary schools.This paper mainly adopts the research methods of literature research,classroom observation and questionnaire survey,and takes the teachers and students in the second school section of X Primary School in X City.The Chinese teaching process is observed from the five dimensions of teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching methods,teaching evaluation and teaching effect,and the questionnaire survey is added on the basis of observation,in order to present the classroom teaching situation in various aspects.The results show that there are some objective problems in the teaching of Chinese reading in the second learning section of X Primary School in X City,including students ’lack of interest in reading and learning,teachers’ unclear teaching objectives,lack of integration of teaching content,single teaching methods,and unscientific teaching evaluation.In view of the above problems,this study through personal education practice,focusing on the current situation of the elementary school classroom reading teaching put forward the corresponding five improvement strategies,which stimulate students’ interest in reading,optimize reading teaching objectives,rich reading teaching methods,integrating reading teaching content,and establish effective reading evaluation criteria shall be fully considered.This research strives to take the teaching practice and learning situation as the starting point,and puts forward efficient and feasible strategies to improve the teaching quality of Chinese reading in the second learning section of primary school,so that students can truly "learn Chinese,use Chinese and love Chinese".
