A Study On The Parent-child Communication Problems In Divorced Families Using Case Wor

According to the 2022 Statistical Quarterly Report of the Ministry of Civil Affairs,the number of divorces nationwide in 2022 was 514000 in the first quarter,1012000 in the second quarter,and 1643000 in the third quarter.The number of divorces in the second quarter increased by 498000 compared to the first quarter,and the number of divorces in the third quarter increased by 631000 compared to the second quarter,showing an upward trend in quarterly growth.The increase in the number of divorces means an increase in the number of divorced families,which will bring family structure turbulence,family tensions and conflicts,parent-child conflicts and other problems.Among these issues,poor parent-child communication has become a concern and problem for many divorced families,which urgently needs attention and resolution.Based on the youth service project in E District,C City,this paper uses the case work method to provide intervention services for the problems existing in parent-child communication.In this case,based on professional theories of social work such as system theory and communication theory,the author comprehensively applied professional skills and methods of social work such as external and internal consistency communication and family remodeling to carry out seven continuous case services for the client,helping the client and his family to realize wrong behaviors and irrational cognition in daily parent-child communication.Explore the causes of frequent problems in parent-child communication together with the client’s family,assist the client and mother to jointly establish a benign parent-child communication mode,and promote the stability of the client’s family relationship.This case service has achieved remarkable results.The irrational cognition about communication between the client and the mother is corrected,the communication between the mother and the child is on the right track,and the relationship between the client and the mother is effectively alleviated.This shows that the professional methods used by the author in the process of service,such as external and internal consistency communication,role playing,family remodeling and so on,have an obvious promoting effect on solving parent-child communication problems in divorced families.Through this service,I have accumulated experience in solving similar practical problems.
