| Curriculum ideological and political education is an important step in implementing the fundamental task of "cultivating morality and talents" education in the new era.It plays an important role in promoting the core socialist values and cultivating qualified builders and reliable successors for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.As a basic subject course,the goal of high school geography curriculum is to implement the fundamental task of "cultivating morality and cultivating talents" through the cultivation of core competencies in geography.It not only reflects the essence of geography,but also has the nature of both natural sciences and humanities and social sciences,containing rich ideological and political elements.Integrating ideological and political education into high school geography teaching not only meets the needs of students’ comprehensive development,but also follows the requirements of geography curriculum standards,and is highly consistent with the development direction of national education.It is of great significance in realizing the educational value of geography.This study mainly follows the research main line of "determining research problems-analyzing research problems-proposing solutions",integrating curriculum ideological and political education into high school geography teaching as the research object,using literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview,and case analysis methods to conduct research.On the basis of extensive literature review and relevant research at home and abroad,it has been found that the current research on curriculum ideology and politics is mainly concentrated in universities,with a limited number of studies in the middle school stage,and articles on high school geography curriculum ideology and politics are even more limited.Therefore,the research topic was determined,the research background,purpose,and significance were clarified,the research route was planned,and the concepts and theories related to ideological and political education in the curriculum were elaborated.Exploring the necessity of integrating ideological and political education into high school geography teaching from three aspects: the nature of geography,core competencies of geography,and geography exam questions in the college entrance examination;On the basis of drawing inspiration from previous research,the ideological and political aspects of geography curriculum are divided into five levels: national sentiment,global awareness,human-land coordination concept,scientific quality,moral and legal thinking.Based on the two compulsory textbooks for high school in the People’s Education Press,the ideological and political elements are fully explored and sorted out,and the entry point for integrating curriculum ideological and political aspects into high school geography teaching is identified;A questionnaire survey was conducted on 270 high school students and 70 geography teachers,supplemented by interviews with 13 geography teachers to systematically grasp the current situation of integrating ideological and political education into high school geography teaching.Through comprehensive analysis,it was found that there are mainly problems in integrating ideological and political education into high school geography teaching,such as insufficient emphasis,single methods of geography ideological and political education,limited resources of geography ideological and political education,and a lack of evaluation mechanism for geography curriculum ideological and political education.Based on the above research,the principles and strategies for integrating ideological and political education into high school geography teaching are proposed,including the principles of correctness,timeliness,moderation,situational awareness,and flexibility;Strategy: Firstly,strengthen organizational leadership and create an ideological and political atmosphere.Secondly,improve the ideological and political awareness and ability of geography teachers in the curriculum.Thirdly,innovate the teaching methods of ideological and political education in geography courses.Fourthly,expand the resources of ideological and political education in geography courses.Fifthly,improve the evaluation system of ideological and political education in geography courses.Finally,taking the two courses of "Meteorological Disasters" and "Population Capacity" as examples,the integration design of ideological and political education is carried out,in order to provide reference and reference for geography teachers to carry out ideological and political education in these courses. |
