The senior year of high school is one of the important stages for an individual’s learning and development lifetime.It is not only the continuation of compulsory education,but also the groundwork for students to enter Higher Education.For some students,the senior year of high school is also their preparation for entering the society in the future.As the basic unit of the high school,class is the main place for students to learn and grow.The Head Teacher of one class should pay attention to cultivating and developing their students’ independent management ability during dealing with class management,with the purpose to lay solid foundation for students’ sustainable development in the future.The Implementation of Class Self-management in rural senior high schools is not only the requirement of high school students’ self-management abilities under the background of morality education,but also the requirement of teachers’ specialization under the strategy of revitalizing rural education.This paper takes the investigation and research on the current situation of class self-management in rural senior high schools as the theme.It takes the High School Segment of L Middle School in the C District of S City of G Province as an example,based on the theory of the Role of Head Teachers and the Theory of Humanistic Management.This paper takes the methods of Literature Research,Questionnaire Survey,Interview and Observation.It deeply discusses the current situation of Class Self-Management which includes the Students’ Self-Management,analyzing the reasons and providing countermeasures for the Implementation of Class Independent Management in rural senior high schools.In order to undertake the research from a better perspective,this study takes 468 students and 40 Head Teachers in the High School of L as the research objects.Through the questionnaire,this paper reveals four dimensions regards to Class Self-management from the perspective of students which include the students’ understanding of Class Self-management,the degree of participation of Class Self-management in the classes,and the students’ self-management abilities as well as the influencing factors of Class Self-management.From the perspective of Head Teachers,it also finds four dimensions regards to Class Self-management which include the Head Teachers’ role load,the concept of Class Self-management,and the degree of the Class Self-management as well as the support of the Class Self-management.Based on the research result,series of problems of the current situation in Class Self-management in the High School of L shows as below.From the perspective of students:Firstly,rural high school students lack of action,although they have a strong understanding of Class Self-management.Secondly,rural high school students lack of confidence with weak of consciousness of Class Self-management.Thirdly,Rural high school students’ insufficient learning ability for Class Self-management and lack of support.From the perspective of Head Teachers: Firstly,rural high school head teachers have vague concept for Class Self-management with heavy work load.Secondly,rural high school head teachers put too much time into the class management in a traditional way.Thirdly,rural high school head teachers get weak support for Class Self-management and too tired to undertake all.Finally,the following suggestions are put forward for the perspective of Head Teachers,students,and rural senior high schools separately.From the perspective of Head Teachers: Rural high school head teachers should reshape their roles and achieve empowerment;Rural high school head teachers need correct positioning and establish the concept of autonomy;Rural high school head teachers should find the right direction and make career planning;Rural high school head teachers can implement independent management with the help of joint efforts.From the perspective of students: Rural high school head teachers should establish a harmonious relationship between teachers and students with student-centered focus;Rural high school head teachers should develop student-oriented and guide students to develop flexible class-management system;Rural high school head teachers should create an atmosphere of Class Self-management based students-oriented.From the perspective of rural senior high schools:Rural senior high schools should create democratic management mode to achievement scientific evaluation;Rural senior high schools should create training opportunities of Class Self-management to improve the management quality of head teachers;Rural senior high schools should create an environment for Class Self-management and promote co-education between families and schools.All in all,with all the above efforts,we hope to improve the class-management ability of Head Teachers and the level of Class Self-management in rural senior high schools.
