As a product of the information technology revolution,short-video conforms to the tide of the times and meet people’s information acquisition needs,entertainment needs and reading habits under a fast-paced lifestyle with short confining,simple operation,rich content and vivid image.It is an important way for people to obtain and share resources and express their personal wishes.The popularization and application of short-video has also brought new development opportunities to the field of education and teaching.The use of short-video in the teaching of ideological and political courses in high schools breaks through the traditional ideological and political education model constrained by time and space,expands the new field of ideological and political education,and provides a new resource acquisition space and teaching mode for teaching.General Secretary Xi Jinping has pointed out that we should learn to take the initiative to adapt to the new era,use new technologies,give full play to subjective initiative,and use new media technologies to revitalize traditional ideological and political work,so as to keep pace with the times and integrate.The application of short videos in the teaching of ideological and political courses in high schools is of great significance for stimulating students’ interest in ideological and political courses,promoting the development of teachers’ information professional skills,improving the actual teaching effect of ideological and political courses,and promoting the reform and implementation of ideological and political courses.On the basis of comprehensive analysis of the existing results,some high school students and ideological and political teachers as the main research objects,"what,why,how to do" as the research idea,and on the basis of clarifying the generation,characteristics and classification of short-video,and to analyze the application value of short-video in the teaching of high school ideological and political courses.With the help of questionnaires and interviews,we analyze and summarize the application status of short-video in the teaching of high school ideological and political courses,and analyze the achievements and some existing problems from the three levels of students,teachers and courses.Compared with the problems existing in reality,the reasons affecting the application of short-video is mainly discussed from both subjective and objective aspects.How to improve the application rate and effectiveness of short-video in the teaching and application of ideological and political courses in high schools is the foothold of research.Strategy optimization is carried out from five aspects: adhering to correct application principles,enhancing short-video application awareness,improving short-video application ability,innovating short-video application methods,and actively feedback on short-video application effects.Improve the practical effect of teaching application.
