Cross-media reading task group is put forward in Chinese Curriculum Standard for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 Edition,revised in 2020),which requires teachers to guide students to learn the extraction and expression of information,so as to continuously improve students’ media literacy and establish correct values.Under this background,Chinese has also ushered in brand-new ideas and research.With the popularity of the Internet and the wide application of smart phones,the network has become the main source of acquiring information and knowledge for people,and the information age promotes the informationization of education and teaching.With the continuous development of Internet and mobile phone clients,short videos have emerged.At present,the research on the application of short video in subject teaching is not perfect,and it is still in the process of exploration,especially the research on the combination of short video and Chinese writing teaching in senior high school is less.The extensive use of short videos has both advantages and disadvantages.How to avoid the negative effects brought by short videos,how to organically combine short videos with Chinese writing teaching in senior high schools and improve the Chinese writing level of senior high school students to a certain extent is a problem worthy of every teacher’s thinking and research.If the two can be organically combined,it may not be a brand-new attempt for the current Chinese writing teaching.Starting from the current research status of short video at home and abroad,the author clarifies the principles of applying short video in Chinese writing teaching in senior high schools by combing the positive and negative effects of short video.Through the questionnaire of teachers and students,we can master the present situation,views,influence and evaluation of teachers and students on the application of short video in current Chinese writing teaching.Based on the survey results,this paper puts forward the application strategy of short video in Chinese teaching in senior high schools,discusses the content of short video,changes of educational concepts,and reforms of teaching paradigms and so on,and develops teaching practice through its own teaching characteristics to design practical teaching designs for reference.Through this study,we can draw the following conclusions: First,it is necessary to apply short videos in Chinese writing teaching in senior high schools;Second,short videos can improve students’ interest in writing in assisting Chinese writing teaching in senior high schools;Third,the organic combination of short video and Chinese writing teaching in senior high school is an innovation of Chinese writing teaching paradigm.
