Under the influence of the wave of world informatization,information technology has developed rapidly and its application in education has become more and more common.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China also clearly pointed out that it is necessary to accelerate the development of education informatization in the new era.As an important modern teaching auxiliary aid for knowledge dissemination,short video is widely used in the teaching process because it integrates graphics,text and sound,and also combines with audio-visual animation.The knowledge disseminated by short videos is vivid and interesting,which not only can greatly attract the attention of students and create a relaxing and pleasant classroom atmosphere,but also can improve the effect of classroom teaching,so it is more and more popular among teachers and students.However,it should be pointed out that the geographical knowledge in high school is complex and involves a wide range,and not all knowledge points are suitable for short video teaching.Different knowledge points and different types of courses have different teaching effects to use short video.Therefore,the ways for using short video to improve the classroom teaching effect has become a common concern of teachers..Taking teachers from some provinces and students from middle schools in Hangzhou as the research object,this paper investigates the application status and existing problems of short video teaching knowledge,and...classroom,then puts forward strategies to improve the effectiveness of short videos of knowledge explanation in high school geography classroom teaching.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)After visiting some middle schools in Hangzhou and listening to 22 random lessons,it was found that.(1)More than half of the geography classes will use short videos of knowledge explanation to assist classroom teaching,and generally speaking,the geography classroom teaching effectiveness that use short videos of knowledge explanation are better than those unused teaching.(2)The application for short video of using knowledge explanation are more frequent in new lectures.(3)In terms of duration,76.9% of the short videos on the application of knowledge in geography classes did not exceed three minutes.It can be seen that most teachers will use short videos of knowledge explanation to assist classroom teaching in the classroom,and they believe that the effect of using them in new teaching is better,and the duration of short videos should not be too long.(2)The analysis of teachers’ questionnaires shows that most teachers’ attitude for short video of using knowledge explanation are supportive..The vast majority of geography teachers believe that it is necessary to use short videos of knowledge explanation in the classroom,and they will use and promote short videos of knowledge explanation to assist classroom teaching in future teaching.In the application process,94.7% of teachers said that students would actively participate in the use of short videos of knowledge explanation,and it could better attract students’ attention.However,there are still problems such as insufficient theoretical understanding of video resources and lack of effective processing of short video resources.(3)An analysis of the student questionnaires found that 84.99% of the students believed that it was necessary for teachers to use short videos of knowledge explanation in the classroom to assist classroom teaching,and most of the students hoped that teachers would continue to use short videos of knowledge explanation in the classroom in the future..It can be seen that students are very supportive that teachers using short videos of knowledge explanation in the classroom.In addition,most of the students also said that short videos of knowledge explanation can attract their attention well,enhance their interests in learning,and make themselves more willing to explore and communicate.It shows that the use of short videos of knowledge explanation in the classroom to assist classroom teaching can effectively improve the teaching effect.(4)Further researches also found that the current application of short videos of high school geography classroom knowledge explanation have the following problems:(1)The cognition of short video teaching is not deep enough and.(2)There are few short video material resources and acquisition methods,and most teachers basically download from the Internet.(3)The processing technology of short videos is limited,teachers have limited ability to process short video resources,and the level of information technology is not enough.(4)There are a small number of teachers who use knowledge in the classroom to explain the short videos are inappropriate in length and quantity.(5)There are too many influencing factors when implementing short videos of knowledge explanation in the classroom.(5)The empirical results of short video teaching in new teaching and review courses show that the teaching effect of short videos that use knowledge explanation is better than that of short videos that do not use knowledge.However,short videos of knowledge explanation are not suitable for all course types and knowledge points.For different levels of difficult knowledge points.For different levels of difficult knowledge points,and the teaching effect of short videos is better for more difficult knowledge points.In addition,the teaching effect of using short videos of knowledge explanation in new lectures and review classes is different,and the teaching effect before and after using short videos in review classes is not obvious.Among the more difficult knowledge points in the new teaching,the teaching effect of using short videos of knowledge explanation is the most obvious.Therefore,the effective use of short videos of knowledge explanation is more helpful for students to break through difficult points.(6)Although short videos can effectively improve the teaching effect,some strategies must be adopted to achieve the best results.These strategies mainly include: 1.Selecting the appropriate teaching contents,and teachers should select the most suitable short videos for knowledge explanation knowledge point.(2)Choosing appropriate video resources,closely follow the teaching objectives and contents,and follow the principles of scientificity and fun.(3)Improving teachers’ modern information technology processing ability,studying deeply the video resource theory more video resource theory,and schools should offer relevant courses offer relevant courses,and enhance students’ modern information processing abilities.(4)Controlling the duration and quantity of short videos,and play them in a moderate amount.(5)Using more short video of knowledge explanation to assist classroom teaching in the new lectures.(6)Controlling all the different classroom influencing factors well in order to coordinate them better.
