Graduate education,as the highest level of national education,provides continuous talent support for the development of the country.In recent years,with the continuous expansion of postgraduate scale,with the increasing employment pressure of graduate students,employment problems arise accordingly.According to scholars’ research,social adaptability is a key factor affecting employment pressure,so how to improve the social adaptability of postgraduates to cope with the increasingly severe employment situation and promote the employment of postgraduates is a common problem faced by individual students,university administrators and the society.On the basis of combining domestic and foreign literature and relevant theoretical analysis,I made a research hypothesis,self-compiled social adaptability scale,and the current situation of social adaptability and employment pressure of graduates in Jiangxi province is investigated with the help of Fu Yao’s employment pressure scale,and the relationship between the two is analyzed.Using the survey data,this paper compares the employment pressure and social adaptability of graduate students with different demographic variables and discusses the relationship between employment pressure and social adaptability.Through the research,it is found that the employment pressure and social adaptability of graduates in Jiangxi province are above the average level,but the learning adaptability of graduate students needs to be improved.In terms of employment pressure,different genders,whether the only child,different colleges and universities,different majors,different family economic conditions,whether the student cadre of graduate employment pressure have significant difference,in terms of social adaptation ability,currently attending colleges and universities of different family economic conditions with or without work experience before graduate student social adaptability have significant difference negatively related social adaptation ability and the employment pressure,vocational adaptability and learning ability to adapt to effectively predict the employment pressure.In view of the above findings,this paper puts forward some suggestions for graduate students’ personal development: do a good job in career planning and improve their vocational adaptability;Strengthen theoretical study and enhance learning adaptability;Know yourself correctly and set up a correct view of employment;Improve their professional level and strengthen social practice.Suggestions for universities:to promote the education of all staff and provide targeted employment guidance for students;Guide students to make reasonable self-positioning;Pay attention to the cultivation of students’ practical ability and provide practical platform;Strengthen the reform of teaching system and improve the personnel training system.Suggestions to the society: the government should strengthen macro-control;Employers should formulate scientific standards for selecting and employing personnel;Construct ideal social support environment.
