With the development of science and technology and the advent of educational informationization,visual teaching has gradually become a means of research and application in teaching.Junior high school is the initial stage for students to learn biology.It is very important to cultivate students’ interest and learning methods.Visual teaching is the process of using visual tools to complete teaching activities.At present,there are few researches on the combination of visual teaching and biology.Therefore,this paper carries out the research on the combination of biology and visual teaching in junior middle school,and puts forward the teaching strategy of applying visual teaching to biology in junior middle school,so as to make some reference for promoting the reform of biology teaching in junior middle school.Firstly,by consulting the literature,the concept of visual teaching is defined,and the research status of visual teaching at home and abroad is analyzed.Secondly,through questionnaire survey and interview,this paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of visual teaching of biology in junior middle school.Then,on this basis,the strategies and steps of applying visual teaching to biology classroom are put forward.Finally,visualization is applied to classroom teaching,and a questionnaire survey is conducted on students to obtain teaching feedback.Through the research,the following results are obtained: in terms of knowledge,visual teaching method is helpful to students’ biological learning and improves their interest in learning biology.In terms of ability,visual teaching improves students’ concentration and thinking ability in biology class;And students often use illustrations in textbooks to learn new knowledge;Visual tools such as mind map or concept map will be used when reviewing and summarizing knowledge points.In the aspect of attitude: most students like the visual teaching method;I like Flash animations,videos and pictures in the class,and I hope that teachers will continue to use the visual teaching method in biology classes in the future.Based on the above research,it is concluded that visual teaching can promote students’ mastery of biological knowledge;It can improve students’ learning interest,attention and class participation;Students have a high degree of recognition and acceptance of visual teaching.Therefore,this teaching model has certain feasibility,conforms to the new curriculum concept of student-centered,and provides a new method and idea for junior middle school biology class.In the future educational practice,we can organically integrate the visual teaching and biology class to provide students with a rich and interesting class.
