Research On The Development Of High School Geography Teaching Resources Based On ArcGIS

With the rapid development of computer technology,GIS has also been rapidly developed and widely used.GIS provides new methods and means for solving geographical problems.Because GIS plays an increasingly important role in modern geography,geographers consider GIS as a part of the curriculum of high school geography.In 2003,Geography Curriculum Standards(Experiment)for Senior High Schools in China included GIS into the curriculum structure for the first time.However,through current research and practice,it is still difficult to integrate GIS into high school geography teaching.Because GIS is specialized,not all teachers have the ability to develop GIS teaching resources.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop and research high school geography teaching resources based on GIS mainstream software-Arc GIS.Based on constructivism theory,multiple intelligence theory,embodied cognition theory and other theories,this study sorted out relevant concepts of geography teaching resources,geographic information system,Arc GIS and so on through literature research.Secondly,this study analyzes on the advantages of the Arc GIS software,functions and the advantage of high school geography teaching,from the macroscopic Angle in high school geography teaching resources based on Arc GIS development is expounded,according to geography curriculum standard,high geography teaching materials,students and exam,to follow the principle of scientific,rational,suitability and typicality,At the same time,inductive analysis is used to sort out the teaching content suitable for Arc GIS development in compulsory course 1 and Compulsory Course 2 of Hunan Education Edition,and the process of Arc GIS based development of high school geography teaching resources is described in detail.Finally,through action research method,Arc GIS software is used to develop teaching resources based on Arc GIS software for the three topics of "GIS application in earthquake protection and disaster reduction","contour topographic map interpretation" and "industrial location factor" from the micro perspective,and innovative teaching design is carried out.This study provides a reference for high school geography teachers to use Arc GIS to develop geography teaching resources,and is conducive to the further promotion of Arc GIS to serve high school geography teaching.
