Development And Application Of Geography Experimental Teaching Resources In Senior High Schools

From the perspective of psychology,although high school students have made some development in abstract thinking,they are still not mature enough.They still need to understand abstract geographical knowledge through practice and experience the normative and rigorous process of scientific inquiry,so as to improve their creativity and exploration ability.Obviously,aiming at the above ability cultivation,the classroom experiment operation is an important means.In order to implement the basic concept of the new curriculum standard and enrich classroom teaching methods,this paper adopts research methods such as literature research,questionnaire survey,statistical analysis and observation to understand the current development and application of geography experimental teaching resources in senior high schools.Based on the results of the questionnaire survey,the author further develops the geographical experimental resources,and puts forward some suggestions on the development and application of geographical experimental resources according to the problems in teaching practice.The research process of this paper is roughly divided into five stages: literature research,questionnaire survey,experimental design,teaching practice,and proposal.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Most teachers and students believe that participating in simulation experiments can cultivate the ability of exploration,innovation,cooperation and other aspects,and improve the effect of geography teaching.Teachers and students all hold a supportive attitude towards carrying out experimental activities.However,in practice,most schools lack perfect geographical experimental facilities;Teachers are generally aware of the role of geographical experiments,but seldom carry them out.In addition,most teachers prefer to conduct experiments by themselves,while students lack hands-on opportunities.The above reasons lead to the weak experimental operation ability of students and the result that the knowledge and ability do not match.(2)In terms of developing experimental resources,only a few teachers are willing to create experiments by themselves,while most teachers prefer to improve and use experimental teaching resources on the basis of predecessors,especially network materials and journal papers.In the specific development process,teachers generally pay attention to the experimental teaching content of the new curriculum standard,and take it as the basis for designing experiments.In addition,in the process of development,most teachers think that special attention should be paid to the safety norms of the operation process and the simple and effective steps.As for the difficulties of implementing experimental teaching,teachers and students generally believe that the first three problems to be solved urgently are the shortage of experimental facilities,the shortage of class hours and the lack of appropriate experimental schemes.(3)According to the characteristics of experiment teaching,this paper puts forward the principles that should be followed when developing experiment: scientific nature,necessity,feasibility and inquiry principle.In addition,this paper also provides some development strategies based on the results of the questionnaire survey,including independent design according to the curriculum standards,reference to textbooks or academic literature,reference to the experimental design of other disciplines and encouraging students to participate in the design.On the basis of the above principles and methods,this paper carefully selects and develops 14 experimental projects by taking the new textbook compulsory 1 as an example.Through practice,it is found that the experimental teaching can basically arouse the enthusiasm of students and achieve the teaching purpose,but there are also some shortcomings,for example,the experimental operation is time-consuming,can not fully simulate the actual situation,the operation process is easy to mistake,equipment selection has limitations and so on.(4)According to the problems exposed in the questionnaire survey and teaching practice,this paper puts forward the enlightenment of developing experimental resources: make good use of common objects in daily life,buy teaching tools to save time,design experiments with control variables,and reflect on the shortcomings after experiments.The application enlightenment of experimental resources is given:providing experimental sites and enriching experimental equipment;Do enough pre-class homework,grasp the experiment time;Observe classroom performance and implement scale evaluation;Recycle useful teaching AIDS and protect the school environment;Setting up experimental groups to encourage extracurricular exploration;Use the experiment properly,never rely on it completely.
