| With the continuous progress of society, education has begun to focus on the overall development of students’ multidisciplinary ability and quality, rather than just the solo performance of one subject. In the context of curriculum reform, the teaching of mathematics application problems in junior high school strives to make students experience the important role of mathematics in solving practical problems, explore the connection between mathematics and daily life and other subjects, promote students’ formation of mathematics application awareness, and improve their comprehensive problem-solving ability.STEAM education focuses on the connection and integration between disciplines, advocates interdisciplinary integrated teaching, and aims to cultivate students’ problem-solving ability, application innovation ability, and improve students’ comprehensive quality. This study integrates the STEAM education concept into the teaching of mathematics application problems in junior high schools, and explores the feasibility of this concept in the teaching of mathematics application problems.Based on the theoretical viewpoints of constructivist learning theory, multiple intelligences learning theory and Freidenthal’s mathematics education theory, specific teaching strategies are put forward and teaching design examples to promote the comprehensive development of students’ multidisciplinary knowledge and literacy, and improve students’ mathematics Applied awareness and problem-solving skills.First of all,on the basis of sorting out the references, understand the research background and current situation of STEAM education concept and mathematics application problem teaching. It is noted that the STEAM education concept is consistent with the training objectives of mathematics application problem teaching, and then the research questions, content and methods of junior high school mathematics application problem teaching based on the STEAM education concept are proposed.Secondly, the "Questionnaire on the Learning Sentiment of Junior High School Students’ Mathematics Application Questions" and "STEAM Junior High School Mathematics Application Question Teaching Cognition Questionnaire" were compiled to understand the specific situation of junior high school students’ learning and problem-solving of mathematics application questions. And found that junior high school students have a high degree of recognition for developing STEAM literacy and teaching STEAM junior high school mathematics application questions.Thirdly, according to the STEAM education concept and the results of the questionnaire survey, the teaching strategy of junior high school mathematics application questions based on the STEAM education concept is proposed. In STEAM junior high school mathematics application problem teaching, teachers should follow six teaching principles: situational principle, construction principle, cooperation principle, interdisciplinary principle, innovation principle and literacy principle. In terms of teaching preparation, teachers should accurately study the teaching content, formulate teaching objectives reasonably, and flexibly choose teaching methods to fully prepare for pre-class work.In the process of teaching implementation, teachers should pay attention to the development of students’ mathematical emotion, mathematical application, knowledge experience, reading ability, model awareness and problem solving. In terms of teaching evaluation, teachers constantly improve the overall evaluation of students by constructing a multi-dimensional evaluation system, determining multiple evaluation objects, and adopting various evaluation methods. Finally, the application example of STEAM junior high school mathematics application problem teaching is given.Combined with specific teaching strategies, two teaching designs are edited: for the new course "Using Congruent Triangles to Measure Distance" and the review course for "Comprehensive Application of Algebraic Models".And strive to implement the research results into teaching practice. |
