People are living longer, and our life has become more digital. Therefore, the elderlyoriented digital renovation and digital inclusion are major problems of social governance. With the lowering of media access barriers, the need for elderly to use the internet continues to be stimulated. However, there is still a large gap between the elderly and other age groups in terms of quantity, range and depth of media participation. This study attempts to analyze the performance of elderly in media exposure.Through observing the reasons for the change in their attitudes towards media,we can find effective ways of promoting digital inclusion among older people. At the same time, the study focuses on the mechanisms of digital empowerment in the family context and the practical significance of peer support under the dimension of social support, exploring the intrinsic motivation to bridge the multiple digital divides of elderly, including digital devices, digital knowledge, digital thinking, and digital action, from a microlevel perspective. Two research methods, the Participant Observation and the In-depth Interview, were used to study the digital inclusion of senior citizens. An elderly couple in an ’elderly community’ in Lanshan District,Linyi City,Shandong Province, became the main subjects of my documentary.Because I want to reflect the real media participation of the urban elderly in contemporary society through a typical character sample. At the same time, the potential needs and media usage attitudes of urban elderly people are observed from the perspective of confrontation(digital generation gap),dialogue(digital feedbacks)and contrast(peer differences). In conclusion,a clear picture can be gained for how to effectively help elderly achieve digital inclusion. The documentary The Digital Inclusion of Senior Citizens shows the story of elderly people learning to access the media in this digital era, enabling viewers to see the experience of older people getting online. They can learn how to use,how to listen and how to watch slowly.Gradually they can use, listen and watch. In addition to the efforts of national policies, social services and community education, family members and peers should also pay attention to the thoughts and needs of elderly groups.Ultimately, people can support the digital inclusion of elderly based on their practical needs.
