With the acceleration of the construction of intelligent society, intelligent media based on cloud computing and big data have gone beyond the scope of single information transmission and become the entrance of online life and the provider of life services.Jinping Xi proposed the concept of "Four-omnimedia" in view of the development trend of media convergence,in which full-effect media highlights that the functions of intelligent media have been expanded to social and life services. At the same time,China has officially entered an aging society. How to use intelligent media to integrate into digital life has become an important issue that must be faced and solved in the construction of a digitally inclusive and age-friendly society.Based on the theory of digital inclusion, this paper uses interdisciplinary research, indepth interviews and participatory observation to interview 25 elderly people about the current situation, dilemma and needs of smart media use.The types of respondents covered the differences between urban and rural areas, health status, living alone or not, differences in education level, economic conditions, occupation before retirement, etc.Through reviewing the literature of sociology, communication, demography, management and other disciplines as well as the interview records of the respondents, this thesis finds that there are generally three attitudes towards the application of smart media in the elderly group at present:active integration, neutral, negative or resistant integration. The elderly group with better economic conditions, health status and education level use intelligent media more frequently,in a wider range and in a deeper degree. The elderly group with a high degree of occupation and information technology correlation before retirement are more familiar with digital technology and have a stronger sense of trust, and are easier to integrate into the digital society. However, the use of intelligent media in the elderly group living alone is mostly driven by the need for survival, while the Non-solitary elderlyis mostly active, for their family members provide more emotional support for their use behavior. In addition, the problem of over-indulgence of the elderly in intelligent media also needs special attention. From the demand level, the demand of the elderly group for intelligent media can be roughly divided into three types:survival, development and society. The survival type emphasizes the guarantee of basic living services, while the elderly group living alone pays more attention to the survival needs(which is mostly valued by the elderly group). The developmental type emphasizes the elderly’s pursuit of spiritual and cultural life and selfimprovernent of self-awareness,while the social type emphasizes social connection and emotional experience brought by the use of smart media, such as social feedback, selfefficacy and subjective well-being.The elderly with a secure economic base has a greater demand for development and sociality.Based on the early theory of digital inclusion, digital divide is used as the framework to analyze the integration dilemma of the elderly group. It is found that the traditional physical access gap still exists, especially in rural areas. The imbalanced and unbalanced economic development is an important reason why it is difficult to get through the "last mile"of Internet access. However, the elderly who have access to the Internet are affected by the operation of intelligent media platform, the complexity of interaction design and the younger culture of the platform,so it is difficult to completely cross the usage gap.In addition, the cultural panic caused by unfamiliar digital environment leads to the lack of trust and confidence of the elderly in the digital world, and their attitude is negative. However, society and family are weak in providing continuous and regular instrumental support and emotional support for the elderly to integrate into the digital society, which fails to alleviate the panic of the elderly in time. There is also no guarantee for the elderly to have enough freedom to"disconnect" when it comes to bottom-feeding services. In view of the above difficulties, this thesis argues that an age-friendly atmosphere can be formed in the whole society through effective interaction between various relevant subjects,so as to truly realize the digital inclusion of the elderly group. Therefore, this thesis takes the government, the media platform, and the elderly-four main body into consideration, puts forward that the top-level design of government policy should be adopted to guide the effective interaction of various subjects, stimulate the vitality and potential of the media platform to produce and transform an intelligent media application suitable for the elderly, create a flat which the elderly is the main body, encourage community and family to engage for providing continuous digital skills education and emotional support for the elderly so as to stimulate their own initiative to the greatest extent.Achieve higher quality digital inclusion Eventually.
