A Study On The Measurement Of The Level Of Common Wealth And The Improvement Path In Western Region

Common prosperity is the essential requirement of socialism,and the first step to achieve common prosperity is to solve the problem of unbalanced and insufficient development.In the current stage of solidly promoting common prosperity,it is necessary to construct a scientific and reasonable common prosperity index system to measure the level of common prosperity in the western region.This study uses empirical analysis to measure the level of common wealth in the western region.First,the relevant concepts are defined,and the current situation of common wealth in the western region is analyzed by combing the existing literature and taking into account the actual situation;Secondly,a common prosperity evaluation index system was constructed based on the dimensions of "common" and "prosperity",and the entropy-TOPSIS method was applied to comprehensively evaluate the development level of common prosperity in all dimensions and overall in the western region from 2017 to 2021,and to summarize the challenges faced in the process of promoting common prosperity in the western region;Finally,the obstacle degree model is used to analyze the main obstacle factors for achieving common prosperity in the western region,and countermeasure suggestions for improving the level of common prosperity in the western region are proposed in a targeted manner.The results of the study show that there is a trend of narrowing the common wealth gap among the provinces in the western region during 2017-2021,but in general,their common wealth level has not improved significantly and has been at a medium level.Through the analysis,it is found that the degree of universal access to basic public services,the quality and effectiveness of economic development and spiritual affluence are the main obstacle factors for achieving common prosperity in the western region.Therefore,countermeasures are proposed in terms of high-quality economic development,enriching the spiritual world of residents,coordinating regional coordinated development,promoting equalization of basic public services,and practicing the concept of green development,with a view to promoting a higher level of common prosperity in the western region and allowing people to share the fruits of reform and development.
