| Statistics play an important role in national economic management and policy formulation by providing a wealth of statistical information and recommendations that provide an important basis for monitoring and guiding socio-economic development.It is not only a“Barometer”to reflect the status quo of social and economic development,but also to predict the direction of social and economic development.In recent years,the General Secretary has attached great importance to statistical work and issued a number of directives to promote the development of statistical work,the report at the19 th People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China specifically emphasized the need to“Improve the statistical system”,providing strong support for the development of statistics.Based on the analysis of the status quo of statistical system operation in L city,this paper puts forward that there are three problems in the current operation of statistical management system in L City,which are the quality of statistical data,the low efficiency of statistical work and the lack of statistical credibility.There are five main reasons for these problems.First,there is a lack of legal protection of statistics,second,there are problems in the relationship of statistical management,third,the setting of statistical institutions is not very reasonable,fourth,the insufficient allocation of statistical resources,and fifth,the team of statistical talents is not strong.In view of these problems and their causes,this paper makes five recommendations: first,strengthen the legal guarantee of statistics;Second,to optimize the relationship of statistical management,establish a vertical statistical system below the provincial level,improve the ability of overall statistical management,strengthen the management and supervision of statistical leaders;Third,straighten out the relationship between statistical institutions,rationally allocate statistical institutions at all levels,and adjust the internal institutional Settings;Fourth,strengthen the allocation of statistical resources and increase the investment of statistical funds;Fifth,strengthen the construction of statistical talent team,from the number of personnel,personnel quality,personnel responsibility and other aspects of the overall improvement of statistical talent team. |
