Study On The Statistical Work Of Neijiang County-level Government

The statistical department is the "scorekeeper" of economic and social development and the "staff headquarters" of the party committee and government.In other words,it plays an irreplaceable role in the economic development of a country(region).As a staff member of the Neijiang Municipal Bureau of Statistics,the author deeply realizes through daily work that there are many differences between the statistical management system of our country and that of foreign countries.China’s statistical management system is also undergoing continuous adjustment,reform and innovation,in order to constantly adapt to the economic and social development and accurately reflect the achievements,problems and long-term trends of development with China’s different development periods and different economic systems.As a member of the statistical system,I also want to provide a little useful help to the statistical system research of our country through my own research,and live up to my knowledge.The author interviews and studies the statistical offices of five counties and districts in Neijiang City through three research methods: literature research,theoretical research combined with empirical investigation and interview.This study makes a detailed analysis and research on the management system,work flow and other aspects of the county and district statistical offices.The content of the interview will mainly focus on the actual problems in work and views on the development of the unit.Through the study,it is found that in recent years,the Neijiang County and District Statistics Bureau has made a lot of efforts in terms of management system,statistical investigation,talent training,information construction and so on,and achieved certain results combined with the author’s position in the Municipal Bureau of Statistics.However,there are still three problems in the operation of the unit,such as fragmentation and overlap of statistical management system,insufficient number and low quality of statisticians,and lag of statistical information construction in the course of operation.As a result,the relevant personnel of the county and district statistical offices have produced a lot of repetitive work in the process of work,such as low work efficiency,lack of service ability and so on.It is concluded that the reasons for these problems in the county and district statistical offices mainly come from three aspects through the author’s advantages in working in the statistical system: 1.the design of the statistical management system is unreasonable;2.the statistical strength of the county and district is weak;3.the awareness of information construction is not strong.In this regard,this study puts forward three countermeasures and suggestions: the first is to improve the statistical management system,the second is to optimize the allocation of statistical resources,and the third is to accelerate the innovation of statistical information construction.It is hoped that through the adjustment of these three aspects,it can provide useful help to the working methods,work efficiency and service level of the Neijiang County District Bureau of Statistics.As a result,the County and District Bureau of Statistics can better serve the party committee and government,the economy and society,and the people of the whole region.
