Research On Liu Yong’s Calligraphy Thought

In the Qing Dynasty,calligraphy underwent great changes during this period,and epigraphy emerged,and after Daoguang,it replaced Tie Xue in Chinese calligraphy and continued to be the mainstream status for thousands of years.The Tie Xue of the Qing Dynasty as a whole was in decline,but until the middle of the Qing Dynasty,Tie Xue was still the mainstream,and it was also in the middle of the Qing Dynasty,the Tie Xue of the Qing Dynasty developed to the peak,and Liu Yong was the master of Tie Xue in this period.Liu Yong was born in the Kangxi Dynasty,Liu Yong’s calligraphy style has changed throughout his life,in his early years,his style was like a beautiful woman with hairpins,dignified and gentle,and after the middle period,he learned the classics of a hundred schools,drawing nutrients from the hundred schools,and began to move in the direction of becoming a school of his own,and studying Liu Yong’s calligraphy thought can well explore the internal causes of Liu Yong’s style of calligraphy.This paper first studies the inheritance of the calligraphy of the Liu family and the reasons for the formation of calligraphy,and then explores the formation of the calligraphy style in the early period of Liu Yong from the background of the era of Dong Zhao’s calligraphy advocated in the early and middle Qing Dynasty.On the basis of these two,the connotation of calligraphy thought expressed in Liu Yong’s surviving poems and inscriptions is deeply excavated,including his method of learning calligraphy,the concept of taking the method,the view of inscriptions,and his views on ancient classic calligraphy theory and his own views,and then analyzes and studies Liu Yong’s representative works in various periods,has a clear summary and sorting out the process of Liu Yong’s calligraphy style,shows the unity of Liu Yong’s concept of calligraphy and its calligraphy style,and finally summarizes the achievements of Liu Yong’s calligraphy and its influence on future generations.
