At the end of 2019,the new crown virus quietly appeared and spread rapidly around the world.In order to prevent the further spread and worsening of the new crown epidemic,cross-border exchanges between countries were forced to stop,and schools also suspended offline teaching.Affected by the policies of different countries,the vast majority of foreign students can’t leave the country after returning to China,and can’t return to Chinese schools to continue studying Chinese and professional courses.In order to meet the curriculum needs of international students from all over the world and help them successfully complete their studies,the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China put forward the concept of "non-stop learning" and decided to carry out large-scale online Chinese teaching.In this context,the Chinese International Education major of Chongqing Normal University,where the author works,also launched online Chinese teaching for international students who couldn’t return to school,and some difficulties and problems arose during the implementation of teaching.From the perspective of teachers and students,this paper intends to investigate the current situation of online Chinese teaching,find the existing problems in the online course of the Master of Teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages based on the results of the questionnaire and interview records,explore the reasons,and put forward corresponding suggestions for improvement according to the results of the questionnaire and interview records.This article is divided into seven parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the research background,research purpose,research significance,literature review and research methods of this paper,and the literature review summarizes the relevant research from the two time periods before and after the epidemic.The second part describes the design and analysis of the questionnaire for the online Chinese learning of international students majoring the Master of Teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in Chongqing Normal University,including survey subjects,survey design,survey implementation,and questionnaire data statistics and result analysis.The third part describes the interview investigation and analysis of the current situation of online learning of international students,including interview subjects,interview outline design,interview implementation and specific interview result analysis.The fourth part describes the questionnaire design and analysis for the online teaching situation of teachers,including the survey object,survey design,survey implementation,and questionnaire data statistics and result analysis.The fifth part summarizes the problems existing in online Chinese classes based on the results of questionnaire surveys and interviews with international students and teachers in the previous three parts,which are mainly reflected in seven aspects,namely professional development,teaching platform and learning resources,curriculum design,classroom supervision and management,teacher-student interaction,teachers and online students themselves.The sixth part is based on the existing problems of online Chinese teaching,mainly including promoting professional development and resource construction,professionalizing teaching equipment platforms,attaching importance to teaching supervision and management,improving the frequency of interaction and classroom participation,improving teachers’ comprehensive ability in online teaching,and improving students’ online learning ability.The last part is the conclusion,summarizing the survey results of the current situation of online teaching in Chongqing Normal University,putting forward the innovations and shortcomings of the thesis,and expressing the prospects for future research.
