Music Analysis And Singing Research Of Huang Wenxiu’s Opera On The Road To Poverty Alleviation

Co-sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee,the Ministry of Culture and Tourism,the China Federation of Literature and Tourism and the Office of Poverty Alleviation under The State Council,the large-scale opera "On the Road to Poverty Alleviation" is a newly created opera reflecting the major contemporary reality of China.It celebrates the true and touching story of Huang Wenxiu,a graduate with a master’s degree,who responded to the call of the state,gave up his urban job,volunteered to return to his hometown to help the poor,worked hard and made sacrifices,and died on the victim’s side.Huang Wenxiu,the protagonist of the opera,as a typical representative of the first secretary of the village of college students in China,embodies the spirit of The Times that tens of millions of poverty-alleviation cadres are dedicated and not afraid of sacrifice.She was posthumously awarded as "model of The Times" by the state.In this paper,excerpts from Huang Wenxiu’s opera "The Road to Poverty Alleviation","Zhuang Xiang" and "I Want to Fly",are selected as the research topic.The research content includes the music analysis,lyrics analysis,piano accompaniment analysis,singing exploration and stage performance research of the two first excerpts.Through the use of literature analysis,music analysis and citation method to study the topic in detail,it is concluded that the melody of "Zhuang Xiang Xiang" adopts "four-tone series" and "the second and third intervals are used for many times",which is full of Zhuang music color."I Want to Fly" uses "modulation","speed change" and other methods to make the work full of drama.Singing "Zhuang Xiang" need to pay attention to the timbre to grasp "sweet,bright",breath should be continuous,toughness is promoted to provide reasonable power for singing;Performance should highlight the "hand,arm,eye,heart coordination",arm movements should be "soothing,lyrical".Singing "I want to Fly" requires changes in timbre,breathing and high pitch through the contrast of characters’ emotions;The performance needs to do "body language to move,static combination","hand,eye and body method of step is relatively strong,the contrast is large","very deep quiet","wake up very suddenly","passion is quite heroic".It is hoped that through the analysis of musical works,the exploration of personal singing,the research of stage performance,etc.,the opera excerpts can be better interpreted,the characteristics of national opera can be highlighted,and the needs of The Times can be better served.
