Text Research On The Documentary "Poverty Alleviation Road"from The Perspective Of Social Memory

By the end of 2020,China had achieved a comprehensive victory in poverty alleviation,with 98.99 million rural people,832 impoverished counties and 128,000 impoverished villages all lifted out of poverty,and regional poverty as a whole was eliminated,eliminating absolute poverty.This glorious history of the Republic has left numerous photographic records.Among them,Shanxi,as a key province of national poverty alleviation and development,has left an indelibly impressive mark in the battle against poverty that has spread throughout the country.The large-scale documentary series "The Road to Poverty Alleviation" selects the concentrated contiguous poor areas in Shanxi Province as the shooting place,and shows the history of poverty alleviation in the land of Shanxi in the way of documentary artistic creation.It places many small and profound individuals in Shanxi’s poverty alleviation practice in the context of this era,making them great microcosm in the process of the era,and writing the memory of local poverty alleviation history.From the perspective of social memory,this paper observes and analyzes the creation of the documentary "The Road to Poverty Alleviation",which is divided into four chapters.This paper mainly adopts the methods of text analysis and literature research,on the basis of watching a large number of documentaries on poverty alleviation,carefully interprets the program text of “The Road to Poverty Alleviation”,shows the characteristics of creation from the symbolic carrier and means of social memory construction,and summarizes the value of the documentary "The Road to Poverty Alleviation" in the construction of social memory.From the perspective of social memory construction,it is expected to provide useful reference for the documentary to further tell the Shanxi story of rural revitalization and even the story of China.The first chapter sorts out the performance of Chinese poverty alleviation documentaries as memory texts,summarizes their social memory attributes and the function of memory containers,and summarizes and extracts the general characteristics of local poverty alleviation memory texts provided by the documentary "The Road to Poverty Alleviation".Chapter two makes a specific analysis of symbols used in the construction of social memory in this documentary--words as proof of memory,voices as catalyst of memory,images externally sketched to realize memory,characters as subjects of memory and places that provide space for memory dependency.Chapter three analyzes how to construct social memory from the narrative structure and perspective.Specifically,the omniscient and limited-knowledge perspectives are used to observe the history of poverty alleviation,and progressive and parallel narrative structures are alternately used to join together the focused and well-rounded memories of poverty alleviation.From the perspective of the construction of social memory,chapter four summarizes the value of the documentary "The Road to Poverty Alleviation" in resisting memory obscuration and forgetting,forming a high degree of recognition to the society,even the Party and the country,and further reflects on its enlightenment to the documentary creation of the theme of rural revitalization.
