The national opera "On the Road to Poverty Alleviation" is a realistic opera work reflecting the theme of China’s comprehensive poverty alleviation, which is based on Huang Wenxiu,a village-based cadre of outstanding university graduates, and shows the spiritual outlook of China’s grassroots poverty alleviation workers who struggle hard and are not afraid of sacrifice for the cause of poverty alleviation. This opera is deeply educational and has outstanding artistic value. This paper takes the aria "Too Late" in the opera as the research object,on the basis of in-depth understanding of the plot and grasp the characteristics of the characters, and through the comparative analysis of two singing versions with different backgrounds, this paper refines the singing skills of "Too Late",so as to improve his understanding of national vocal music theory and performance ability in music art practice. This article has a total of four chapters, analyzing the four aspects of opera creation background, lyrics and song structure, classic singing version, and singing skills, among which there are many of my own feelings in the process of singing learning, hoping to provide some help to the majority of vocal music lovers, and hoping to inherit the spirit of Huang Wenxiu, hoping that artists will never forget their original intention, firmly follow the party, and tell the "Chinese story" well.
