An Analysis Of The Characterization And Performance Of Female Heroines In Chinese Opera:"Youyou Deer Singing" And "Poverty Alleviation Road"

The role of female heroes has always been an important part in the development of Chinese opera.They usually appear in a special historical period or social background and make outstanding achievements and contributions with their courage,wisdom and perseverance.Most of them have self-sacrifice,perseverance,mind the world’s feelings of home and country,and have a gentle character,but different events,different historical background,different growth environment,and so on,make them have a multi-faceted,multi-dimensional character.Among the operas created in recent years,Youyou Deer Singing and Poverty Alleviation Road are representatives of realistic themes.This paper takes these two operas as examples to discuss the shaping and singing of female heroes in Chinese operas.On the basis of understanding the definition of the female hero image,the female hero image in Chinese opera and the characters in two dramas,this paper summarizes the facial features of the female hero image into three aspects: "perseverance","self-dedication" and "tenderness and kindness".And from the three aspects of story text,music text,singing text to study how to better shape the character and singing character classic aria.Finally,the research results of this paper are summarized and the future research direction is proposed.There are three reasons why the author chooses these two characters as examples.First,they share the common characteristics of female heroes in the new era.Second,they were adapted and created based on the real characters Tu Youyou and Huang Wenxiu.Such roles are quite different from fictional characters in both creation and performance.The analysis of these roles can provide more references for more singers.The third reason is that the two characters are created in recent years.The story background is after the founding of New China.They are playing light and heat in different fields on the stage of the new era.Fourth,after many times of grinding,competition and stage practice,the author has a profound understanding of the characters and lyrics.Through the research of this paper,we can have a deeper understanding of the shaping and singing of female heroes in the New era of Chinese opera,and provide certain reference value for the performance and development of this type of female heroes in Chinese opera.At the same time,this paper also provides some ideas and methods for the study of other similar characters in Chinese opera.In the development process of Chinese opera,the role of female heroes will play an increasingly important role in Chinese opera,and become a landscape of Chinese opera in the new era.
