A Study On The Singing Of The Opera Excerpt "Too Late"

The "Too Late" is selected from the Chinese national opera "Poverty Alleviation Road",a modern opera based on Huang Wenxiu,the first secretary of Baini Village in Leye County,Guangxi.The opera tells a touching story of a young generation who left their hometown,shouldered a heavy responsibility alone,actively created value for the modern society and served as an example to the grassroots.In terms of creative techniques,the integration of ethnic elements from Guangxi not only highlights strong characteristics of the times,but also satisfies modern public aesthetics,promoting the noble spirit of poverty alleviation heroes.This article selects the aria "Too Late" from the opera "Poverty Alleviation Road" and "Ban Zhirui" as the research object,through the analysis and induction of literature,the analysis and practice of the works provide theoretical support and practical basis for this paper,which is divided into four chapters.First,the first chapter introduces the background of the creation based on the existing literature,and celebrates the story of a group of young people who are passionate about poverty alleviation.Secondly,the second chapter analyzes the lyrics,musical structure,piano accompaniment and other aspects,focusing on the ontological analysis of "Too Late",so that the singer can better grasp the overall structure and further interpret the style of the work.Then,the third chapter analyzes the important and difficult points in the singing process of “Too late”from the aspect of singing skills.Finally,the fourth chapter is devoted to the singer’s personal perception and the effect of the stage presentation,in order to inject the character of "Ban Zhirui" into the soul of one’s own singing and to match the performance effect of the character.The whole article is a clear analysis of the thematic ideas and vocal elements of "Too Late" in a progressive way,so as to deepen the theme.
