Since the 18 th CPC National Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly put forward and repeatedly stressed the need to do a good job of curriculum ideological and political education in school education and integrate ideological and political education into various courses,so as to better realize the fundamental educational task of establishing morality and cultivating people.As an important subject of basic education,primary school English plays an important enlightening and basic role in cultivating students’ cross-cultural awareness and enhancing students’ patriotism.As a humanities subject,English needs to be guided by values under the special background of facing Western ideology.Therefore,it is very necessary to integrate curriculum thought and politics into English Teaching in primary schools.After combing the relevant contents of curriculum thought and politics retrieved from China How Net,it is found that at present,the research on curriculum thought and politics mostly focuses on the stage of higher education,and there is less research on the integration of curriculum thought and politics in primary school English teaching.This study uses a combination of questionnaire survey,classroom observation and interview to study the current situation,existing problems and causes of the integration of Ideological and political education into English teaching.Firstly,there are the following problems in the integration of curriculum ideological and political education in primary school English Teaching: English teachers’ understanding of the educational concept of curriculum ideological and political education is not clear;English teachers’ awareness of integrating into curriculum thought and politics is not strong;English teachers lack new ideas in integrating into curriculum thought and politics;English teachers’ exploration of Ideological and political elements is still shallow;The multimedia technology of Integrating English teachers into curriculum thought and politics is single;English teachers’ evaluation of students focuses on achievement;English teachers do not actively seek cooperation with Taoist teachers.Secondly,the main reasons for the problems are: first,the lack of school work,the lack of training,supervision and evaluation of English teachers’ integration into curriculum thought and politics;The second is the deficiency of teachers themselves.English teachers’ teaching attitude is not positive enough,their teaching philosophy is not advanced enough,their self-learning ability is not strong,and their awareness of collaborative education is weak.Finally,some suggestions are put forward: first,English teachers should strengthen their professional cultivation and actively integrate into the curriculum thought and politics;Second,the school should establish a training system for English curriculum ideological and political education,strengthen the learning of English teachers’ curriculum ideological and political theory,and improve their ability to integrate into curriculum ideological and political education;Third,the school should establish an English curriculum ideological and political supervision system and evaluation system.Through this study,we hope to improve the primary school English teachers’ understanding and understanding of the educational concept of curriculum ideological politics,enhance the enthusiasm and initiative of English teachers to integrate curriculum ideological politics into English teaching,further improve the ability of English teachers to integrate curriculum ideological politics into teaching,and then improve the integration status of curriculum ideological politics into primary school English teaching,Bring some help and inspiration to later researchers and practitioners.
