| In recent years,the state attaches great importance to the ideological and moral construction of minors,and curriculum ideological and political education advocates the combination of subject curriculum and students’ moral development.As the educational circle pays more attention to ideological education,English education is no longer simply to impart English knowledge,but it needs to be guided by moral character and cultural consciousness.The integration of junior high school English teachers’ curriculum ideology and politics is also increasing.As a humanistic discipline,English curriculum contains rich moral education resources and ideological and political elements,which provide a large number of usable ideological and political materials for the curriculum to integrate ideological and political education into junior high school English classroom teaching.English reading teaching is an important part of junior high school English teaching and an important way to cultivate junior high school students’ comprehensive application ability.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to discuss the teaching strategy and design of junior high school English reading in the context of curriculum ideology and politics.This study makes an investigation of the current situation of integrating ideological and political teaching into the curriculum of junior high school English reading teaching through questionnaires and interviews.Currently,junior high school English teachers generally lack the idea of integrating ideological and political teaching into English reading classroom.In view of this situation,this study tries to design under the following three strategies to integrate curriculum ideological and political elements into junior high school English reading teaching:(1)student-centered teaching strategies;(2)the culture-linked teaching strategy;(3)practice-based teaching strategies.In this study,Class 9,Grade 3(as the experimental class)and Class 10,Grade 3(as the control class)of Q Middle School,Wucheng District,Jinhua City,Zhejiang Province,were taken as experimental objects.Questionnaire survey,interview,observation and experiment were adopted to integrate curriculum ideology and politics into English reading teaching activities for many times during the four-month teaching practice.Due to time and space,this study only selected two teaching cases in which ideology and politics were integrated into English reading.The teaching experiment shows that the integration of curriculum ideology and politics into English reading teaching mode can effectively promote the development of moral students’ education.The teaching strategies and designs proposed in this study are more effective in junior middle school English reading teaching in the context of curriculum ideology and politics,which can provide useful reference for English teaching practice. |
