The report of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposes to take building morality and cultivating people as the fundamental task of education,which requires our educators to pay attention to strengthening students’ ideological and political education in education and teaching.As an educational concept,"curriculum thought and politics" takes "Building Morality and cultivating people" as the fundamental task of education,which meets the requirements put forward in the report.Therefore,the construction of curriculum thought and politics conforms to the requirements of the times and advances in continuous exploration.With the continuous promotion and development of China’s basic education reform,senior high school English teaching reform has become one of the important contents of the current basic education reform.English reading teaching is an important part of senior high school English teaching.It plays an indispensable role in English teaching.Integrating curriculum ideological and political education into reading teaching will inevitably promote the reform and development of senior high school English teaching.The author finds that the current high school English reading teaching focuses on the training of reading strategies and skills,focuses on the learning and expansion of grammar and vocabulary in reading,and greatly ignores the humanity of reading teaching,the cultivation of reading literacy and the cultivation of subject core literacy.Therefore,this study attempts to organically combine reading teaching with curriculum thought and politics based on the concept of curriculum thought and politics,the theory of whole person education and the core literacy of English discipline,and mainly focuses on the following two research questions:1.How to carry out ideological and political education in senior high school English reading teaching?2.What are the positive effects of Integrating ideological and political elements into reading teaching on students?This study adopts three rounds of action research,with the help of the student-centered principle,the full excavation of Ideological and political elements and the flexible application of teaching models and methods.The study found that the integration of curriculum thinking and politics into senior high school English reading teaching will inevitably promote the cultivation and development of subject core literacy.In reading,middle school students’ language skills will not only be improved,but also learn a wider range of social and scientific knowledge,which will improve reading literacy and humanistic literacy,which in turn will promote English subject core literacy.In the task activities of listening,speaking,reading,writing and watching,students increase knowledge,understand meaning,cultivate emotional attitude,and promote comprehensive language application ability.Integrate the ideological and political elements of the course into reading teaching,guide students from the outside to the inside,deeply tap the educational value of the text while cultivating reading skills and mastering knowledge,and realize the construction and implementation of the "Trinity" talent training goal of imparting knowledge,cultivating ability and leading value in the process of article interpretation.
