Living in the era of globalization of information helps students to expand their knowledge, but also makes countless fragmented information crowded into the database, these information from all corners of the world called people overwhelmed, from the student’s point of view to see this problem, from a video app to see other students’ hard work and efforts, from a social software to learn that a student this exam again in their school top, etc.,from all over the world. The cumulative information of tens of thousands of "a classmate" adds to the already stressful situation of students and makes them prone to psychological problems, just like the newly emerged foreign research field of problematic over-learning(conceptualized as study addiction),which refers to excessive attention to learning and being influenced by uncontrollable motivation to learn. The problem of over-learning(conceptualized as study addiction)refers to excessive attention to learning, being motivated by uncontrollable learning, and thus investing so much energy and effort in learning that it impairs relationships with others, leisure activities, and physical and mental health, which can cause a series of adverse reactions. In our country, the issue of students’ education is pivotal from the beginning to the end,not to mention that it affects their physical and mental health and daily life. This study examines the role of the internal mechanisms that influence the factors associated with students’ study addiction, which is divided into two parts. The first part is a revision of the Study Addiction Scale, citing foreign scales and revising them again on the basis of revisions by our scholars;the second part firstly discusses the relationship between perfectionism, ruminative, subjective well-being and study addiction, and secondly explores the mediating effects of these variables. The results found that:First, the revised study addiction questionnaire, with 8 items, divided into two dimensions of learning obsession and learning engagement, each dimension includes 4 items and uses a five-point Likert scale with a total of 40 points, with higher scores indicating a higher degree of problematic overlearning(study addiction). The revised scale has good reliability and validity and meets the indicators of the scale test, which is suitable for conducting research in this group of Chinese college students and also provides support for the follow-up investigation of this study.Second, subjective well-being was negatively correlated with perfectionism, ruminative, and study addiction, and perfectionism, ruminative, and study addiction were positively correlated with each other, and college students’ ruminative and subjective well-being mediated between perfectionism and study addiction, respectively, and college students’ ruminative and subjective well-being mediated between perfectionism and study addiction in Multi-Mediator.
