With the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic,the upsurge of online Chinese teaching is coming.More and more Chinese learners,including young children,choose online Chinese teaching as the main method of Chinese learning.As an important part of classroom instruction,classroom activities directly affect the realization of teachers’ teaching goals and students’ learning effects.However,there are relatively few teaching researches on online Chinese classroom activities for overseas young children.Based on the author’s specific teaching practice,this thesis researches and analyzes the teaching situation of online Chinese classroom activities for overseas children of Chinese origin.Literature research,classroom observation and case studies are adopted to analyze the teaching situation of online Chinese classroom activities for overseas children of Chinese origin.Through the combing of previous studies,the specific concepts and scope of “classroom activities”,“online teaching” and “overseas children of Chinese origin” have been determined.Observation and research are carried out on the Chinese-origin children of level 1-2 from Wukong Chinese Online Education Platform Classroom activities are selected from the respects of the online pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,and topic of Chinese comprehensive course.Seven typical cases of these four teaching links are transcribed.Combined with relevant theoretical basis and types and design principles of classroom activities the thesis concludes the advantages and disadvantages of classroom activities in the online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Five suggestions are put forward for the development of classroom activities in the online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Hopefully,it can promote the development of the cause of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
