In recent years,Chinese language learners are trending towards a younger age,and more and more children are joining the ranks of Chinese language learners,among which children of Chinese descent are a large group that cannot be ignored.They are in the critical period of language learning,and their young age and special status of having Chinese cultural background in their families make teaching Chinese to them different from both language teaching and adult teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,and a more effective teaching program needs to be tailored in relation to their special characteristics.As a result of the epidemic,offline Chinese language teaching at home and abroad has stopped,and online Chinese learning platforms for children have gradually emerged.Online teaching is not simply a replica of offline teaching.With a screen separating child learners and teachers,their respective behaviors have changed,and the interaction between teachers and students and students becomes especially important.Multi-interactive teaching mode refers to the student as the body,relying on the network platform to strengthen classroom interaction;it is a teaching mode in which various teaching elements and teaching methods are combined with each other and complement each other.The "element" here refers to the teaching elements,such as teaching materials,teachers,students,teaching aids,etc.Interaction means using the relationship between the elements to make the elements interact with each other,so as to maximize the teaching purpose and accomplish the teaching goal.The multi-interactive teaching model was first applied to English teaching,but in recent years,due to the influence of Chinese language fever and epidemic,this teaching model has also been extended to the level of Chinese teaching.The study of Chinese children’s online interactive teaching can not only maximize the advantages of Chinese children’s online teaching,but also actively promote the reform and development of the teaching model.During my internship,I joined two platforms,L and H,as a part-time online Chinese teacher.The author found that the adoption of different modes of interaction in online Chinese teaching is particularly important due to time and space constraints,the young age of learners,and inattentiveness.Within the constraints of the platform,online interactive teaching takes many forms.The author studies the second group of Chinese children,and uses her own cases of online teaching to children of different ages and Chinese language levels in this group as a sample for analysis,and comes up with suggestions for online interactive teaching of Chinese to children.This paper is divided into three main parts,firstly,to explain the related concepts,summarize the current situation of online teaching for overseas Chinese children based on the collected data,and summarize the current teaching characteristics of online teaching for overseas Chinese children.Secondly,it briefly introduces the existing interactive forms of teaching Chinese to children,and compares the relevant interactive modes chosen by the two platforms for teaching Chinese to children.Based on the author’s personal experience,she analyzes the application of multiple interaction models in three pairs of online Chinese classes for children of Chinese descent with different class types.Finally,based on the case study and the theoretical exploration of online interactive teaching of Chinese to children,the advantages and shortcomings are drawn and corresponding suggestions are made.
