Micro-lesson is a kind of miniature class recorded through online videos.Its application in international Chinese education and Chinese culture teaching has the advantages of avoiding the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic,facilitating the sharing and dissemination of resources for class.Dongshan,a traditional district located in the urban area of Guangzhou,has witnessed brilliant and distinct stories with regional cultural values which can not only increase the possibility of making overseas classes for teaching Chinese become an important platform for maintaining and enhancing the cultural identity of overseas Chinese,but also solve such problems as cultural alienation in the textbook and provide familiar teaching materials for overseas Chinese learners who plan to study,work and live in Guangzhou.This study promotes the application of micro-lessons in teaching Chinese and Chinese culture,and uses Dongshan Culture as the teaching theme to do the research on designing and developing micro-lessons for overseas learners of Chinese language who plan to stay in Guangzhou,especially for overseas Chinese,aiming at providing feasible teaching solution reference for international Chinese teachers.Based on the previous research,this study proposed that the design of micro-lessons for teaching Chinese culture should include three sections:“pre-analysis”,“design and production” and “evaluation and feedback”.After the accomplishment of the design,production and evaluation of three videos of“Dongshan Culture Micro-lessons”,this research has drawn the following conclusions:(1)Micro-lessons can be applied in teaching Chinese culture in Chinese international education,for the reason that it can improve the understanding of the regional culture and help the students improve their Chinese language skills.(2)The design and production process of “Dongshan Culture Micro-lesson” provides an available approach to developing the cultural micro-lessons that meet the learning needs of overseas Chinese learners,especially overseas Chinese.
