“The International Conference on Chinese Language Education” signifies a shift towards the integration of language and culture in the field of foreign education.Regional culture is an integral part of Chinese culture and has its uniqueness and importance in international Chinese language teaching.Chongqing is the only municipality directly under the central government in southwest China,with obvious location advantages and rich cultural resources.Taking Chongqing regional culture as an example,this thesis focuses on three questions: which content of Chongqing regional culture should be introduced into the international Chinese culture teaching,how Chongqing regional culture can better serve international Chinese teaching,and how to improve the efficiency of international Chinese teaching of Chongqing regional culture.The thesis is divided into five sections in total.The first chapter is the Introduction,which clarifies the reason and significance of this thesis,introduces the research idea,method and theoretical basis,focuses on sorting out and summarizing the research results of culture teaching and regional culture teaching in International Chinese Education,and provides reference for the study of the practice path of Chongqing regional culture teaching in international Chinese teaching.The second chapter introduces the general situation of regional culture teaching,including defining the core concepts of “culture” and “regional culture”,analyzing the relationship between regional culture and International Chinese Teaching,and the importance of regional culture teaching in international Chinese teaching,and discussing the principles and teaching methods used in teaching regional culture.The third chapter analyzes the advantages of Chinese regional culture teaching in Chongqing.Internal advantages include Chongqing’s regional characteristics,cultural advantages and educational resources;external advantages include strong national and local policy support,flourishing development of international Chinese language education,and Chongqing’s increasing influence among overseas media.The fourth chapter analyzes the content and characteristics of Chongqing’s regional culture.In terms of cultural contents,eight aspects of Chongqing,such as geography,architecture,food,transportation,dialects and performing arts,are selected and divided into three sections: cultural image,cultural life and cultural thought,to explain their cultural connotations and teaching values respectively.On this basis,three characteristics of Chongqing’s regional culture are summarized: stability and distinctiveness,tolerance and openness,and innovation,as a foundation for the exploration of teaching path.The fifth chapter is the core part of this research: the exploration of practical path for teaching Chongqing regional culture.Firstly,in response to the resource construction requirements of International Chinese Language Education and seizing the opportunity of Chongqing’s image spreading rapidly in medium,the idea of preparing intelligent teaching materials on the basis of preparing paper-based teaching materials is proposed.Also,in order to integrate scattered teaching resources,this thesis suggests creating a teaching resource base of Chongqing’s regional culture.Secondly,in the construction of courses with local characteristics,teachers should clarify the teaching objectives,build a reasonable curriculum system,and pay attention to the connection with other courses and deal with the relationship between language and culture.Finally,in terms of brand building,this thesis suggests creating a golden class for Chongqing regional culture,launching multi-level short-term cultural experience programs,organizing related cultural activities,and using the communication function of the brand to realize the purpose of “going out” of Chongqing regional culture.
