Since the 18 th CPC National Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward the task of telling China’s story well.At the same time,under the situation of "Internet Plus" and "the normalization of the epidemic",international Chinese education and teaching models have become more diversified.Cultural micro courses can not only respond to the call of The Times,but also adapt to the current teaching needs,which is of special significance.However,due to the varying quality of cultural micro-lessons and the lack of a unified evaluation index system,how to design a high-quality cultural micro-lesson deserves further consideration and research.Therefore,this paper focuses on the cultural micro-lessons in the National Postgraduate Micro-Lesson Competition on Chinese Language Teaching,and conducts a multi-faceted study on the instructional design of these micro-lessons.This paper selects 41 award-winning cultural micro-lessons from the first to the third National Postgraduate Micro-Lesson Competition on Chinese Language Teaching,employing classroom observation,comparative analysis,data analysis,case study analysis and interview methods,and discussing the internal structure and external factors of these micro-lessons.The results of the study demonstrate that: first,in terms of teaching principles,micro-lessons that conform to the nine cultural teaching principles have a higher probability of winning awards.Second,in terms of topic selection,the winning micro-lessons are mostly focused on social and economic topics,and their contents are mostly related to contemporary Chinese life.Third,in terms of the length of teaching sessions,the length of the award-winning micro-lessons is mostly controlled within 5-8 minutes.Fourth,in terms of teaching methods,the proportion of single micro-lessons adopting direct,visual introduction and bridging introduction methods was higher in the introduction session;in the explanation session,most of the award-winning micro-lessons adopted visual teaching and situational methods;in the practice and homework session,the proportion of award-winning micro-lessons adopting comprehension and memory exercises was the highest.At the same time,there are some noteworthy issues in the award-winning micro-lessons,such as the lack of explanation of abstract and in-depth culture in the award-winning micro-lessons,the homogeneous arrangement of knowledge content in the series of micro-lessons,the insufficient structure of exercise design,and the unclear reference of assignment content.In accordance with the above research results,this paper proposes teaching suggestions in terms of both topic selection and teaching design of cultural micro-lessons,including emphasizing the novelty of topic selection,actively conducting cultural comparison,paying attention to abstract and in-depth culture teaching,making effective teaching time arrangement,focusing on teaching process design,and referring to the characteristics of high-quality micro-lessons.The analysis of this paper indicates the real situation for instructional design of cultural micro-lesson in micro-lesson competitions,which can provide information reference for competition participants,and its findings propose practical recommendations for instructional design of cultural micro-lesson.
