Lexical Study Of Ghost In Taiping Guangji

This paper selects 40 volumes of ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)for research.The research on the division of Taiping Guangji(太平广记)mainly focuses on several divisions,such as the department of immortals,the department of animals and the department of plants.The lexicon of ghost literature has not been involved so far.This paper makes an exhaustive study of the lexicon of 40 volumes of ghost parts in order to fill in the divisional study of Taiping Guangji(太平广记).This paper studies the words in 40 volumes of ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)from three parts.Firstly,it studies the polysyllabic words in ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)from the perspective of polysyllabic words,exhaustively analyzes the internal structure of9344 polysyllabic words,and comes to the conclusion that the polysyllabic words in Taiping Guangji ghost department(太平广记)are mainly compound words,and the word formation of compound words is mainly compound words.It is worth noting that the predicate complement structure has appeared and developed in ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记).In addition,polysyllabic words with predicate object structure play an important role in the forty volumes of ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记).This paper analyzes the polysyllabic words with absolute predicate object structure from the perspective of semantics,and divides their objects into 14categories:patient object,agent object,place object,time object,tool object,way object,reason object,purpose object,existence object,result object,object,cause object,homologous object and equivalent object.Secondly,starting with the comparison between ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)and the original literature,this paper studies the lexicon of ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记).After sorting,it is found that there are differences in whether there are errors between the two.There are two main situations in which there are no errors between the words used in ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)and the words used in the original documents:one is that the words are the same,but use different glyphs.In this paper,this type is mainly manifested in three aspects:ancient and modern characters,regular and popular characters and fake borrowed characters.The other is the substitution of synonyms or synonyms.This type mainly includes the mutual substitution of monosyllabic words,the mutual substitution of syllabic words and polysyllabic words,and the mutual substitution of polysyllabic words.There are mainly two kinds of errors between the words used in ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)and the words used in the original documents.One is that ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)is used as the orthography,while the corresponding original documents use the wrong words.The other is that ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)makes wrong words,but its corresponding original documents are correct words.From the above two perspectives,this paper analyzes the lexicon of ghost in Taiping Guangji(太平广记)in three chapters,in order to have a more comprehensive analysis of the lexicon of the forty volumes of ghost department,which will be helpful for future research.
