| Cultural differences between countries are one of the main factors affecting the life and study of international students in China.Such differences in historical and cultural background cannot be eliminated overnight.Only by making international students enhance their cognition and understanding of Chinese culture can the conflicts and discomfort brought about by cultural differences be overcome.This paper takes Bangladesh students from Yunnan University as the respondents to investigate students’ cognition of Chinese culture through questionnaire survey and interview.To promote international students to propose feasible suggestions on the cognition,emotional identity and cultural adaptation of Chinese culture.After determining the study in the form of questionnaire and interview,the author first designed the Questionnaire on Chinese Cultural Cognition Research of International Students in Bangladesh by reading relevant literature,and officially issued the questionnaire after determining the feasibility of the questionnaire,and finally collected 129 valid questionnaires.Analysis of the data of the questionnaire results through IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0software,analyze the status quo of cultural symbols,emotional attitude and cultural values,and analyze the cognition of Chinese culture between different gender,age levels,duration in China and teaching language.Secondly,conduct one-to-one interview with 5 Bangladeshi students after obtaining the results of the questionnaire survey.After analyzing the data,it is found that Bangladesh students have a high degree of culture and emotional attitude of Chinese culture and significant differences among different age groups,gender,duration,teaching language and specialty towards Chinese culture.In the interview,we can find that the harmonious relationship,inclusive cultural environment,learning experience,family atmosphere and learning enthusiasm of international students will influence the perception of Chinese culture through the cultural courses,cultural activities and personal interests of international students.In order to promote international students in Bangladesh to adapt to the Chinese cultural environment,we should start from the school management and curriculum,and start from cultural activities,attract more students to participate by establishing Chinese cultural experience week and promoting existing cultural activities. |
