In recent years,the International College of Yunnan University has recruited a large number of students from Bangladesh.The teachers of Bangladeshi international students reflect that these overseas students have high enthusiasm for learning Chinese,but their learning ability is not enough.To understand this situation,understanding their Chinese learning strategies has practical significance for teaching.The article is based on 107 Bangladeshi students studying at the International College of Yunnan University.It uses questionnaires and interviews to use SPSS 17.0 means analysis,correlation analysis and difference analysis.The study investigated the use of learning strategies when learning Chinese,and gave a general analysis of the use of Chinese learning strategies by Bangladeshi international students.Found in study,the use of Chinese language learning strategies by international students of Yunnan University International College is: First of all,the overall situation of the six major learning strategies for Chinese students is used,According to the six strategies,the mean from the highest to the lowest is:Metacognitive strategies are most frequently used,followed by social strategy 、cognitive strategies、emotional strategies、 memory strategies、 and compensation strategies.Second,the selection of Chinese language learning strategies for foreign students is affected by gender.Among them,the frequency of female students’ use of affective strategies is relatively high,and the most commonly used strategies of male students are metacognitive strategies.Third,there are significant differences in the use of Chinese learning strategies and the differences in the time of arrival in China: 1-5 months learners have used the six strategies of learning strategies,and they are used most frequently.Fourth,the difference in the age of foreign students has little effect on the choice and use of learning strategies.According to the investigation results,the article proposes several relatively targeted suggestions for the low use of direct strategies in the Chinese learning strategies of Bangladeshi international students: First,to help international students improve teaching strategies used in cognitive strategies,including practice strategies and reasoning strategies.Second,to promote the use of compensation strategies for international students,including training in listening to reading strategies and speaking and writing to overcome the limitations of strategy training.Third,suggestions for strengthening memory strategies include memory training of words,Chinese characters,and culture.Fourth,the training of foreign students’ metacognitive strategies should focus on the emotional stimulation.
