A Study On The Cross Cultural Adaptation Of Laotian Students In Yunnan University

With the arrival of the era of economy and the prosperity of China,China has become a big country studying abroad.Student from all of the world come to China for study.Since the strategy "The Belt and Road" has been promoting in 2013.not only make china and neighboring countries be more close,but also attract more students from Southeast Aisa come to China for study.Yunan province,is located in southwest China.Near by Laos.Naturally it becomes to the first choice for Laotian students to study in China.And Yunnan University is one of the best university in Yunnan province.It’s very famous in Laos.This thesis is based on Laotian students in Yunnan university.Invest the cross cultural adaption of Laotian students.For knowing the situation of the cross cultural adaption of Laotian students,analysis the influence factors,then propose the improvement measure.This study is based on the questionnaire of the cross cultural adaption by foreign students.After make the date analysis by SPSS20.0,then the depth interview 6 Laotian students,I made the conclusion:laotian student’s social adaption is good,even if have some problem but still can cover it.The mental adaption is in an average level.But the cultural adaption is hardest part above the three sides.And most Laotian students study in China for get the degree and scholarship,which school they choose to study is depend on how much scholarship they can get.Overall,I think improve the promotion of Mandarin,improve the quality of all citizen then create the friendly society,improve the mental health mechanism,provide the professional consulting services,improve the Laotian student’s ability of self-regulation and academic support,and holding multicultural activities are the necessary ways to improve the Laotian’s abilities of cross cultural adaption.
