Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Buyang Huanwu Decoction in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety of this method,and provide an effective external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for clinical treatment of the disease.Methods:Patients who visited the outpatient department and inpatient department of Chongqing Dianjiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2020 to November 2021 and met the inclusion criteria were included.The patients were divided into treatment group and control group by random number table,with 34 cases in each group.The last two groups actually included 32 cases each.The control group was given warm water foot on the basis of blood glucose control,diabetes education and mecobalamin tablets oral administration.The observation group was given modified Buyang Huanwu Decoction foot bath on the basis of blood glucose control,diabetes education and mecobalamin tablets oral administration.The treatment lasted for 12 weeks.TCM syndrome score,TCM syndrome efficacy and Toronto score were compared between the two groups,and their safety was observed at the same time.Results:compared with the treatment before and after treatment,the total TCM syndrome score of patients in the control group and the treatment group was decreased,and the degree of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group.The effective rate of TCM syndrome treatment control group was 59%,the effective rate of treatment group was 91%,and the effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant.After treatment,the Toronto clinical system scores of the two groups were improved compared with those before treatment,and the improvement degree of the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions:On the basis of oral mecobalamin tablets,Modified Buyang Huanwu Decoction prescription has significance in improving clinical symptoms,improving clinical efficacy and reducing Toronto score in DSPN patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,and the therapeutic effect is superior to mecobalamine oral administration with warm water foot.And the study is safe.
