Research On The Design Of Transportation Tools For The Elderly Based On Emotional Design Theor

Currently,the process of population aging in China is accelerating.As a vulnerable group,the elderly have the problem of travel difficulties.Although there are many mobility tools for the elderly in the market,most of them can only meet the basic travel needs of users.They do not consider the emotional needs of the elderly from the perspective of their physiological and psychological characteristics.How to design products that meet users’ needs and emotional needs in the environment of aging population is the focus of this research.Based on the "Three Levels of Emotional Design Theory" proposed by American psychologist Professor Norman,this project studies the impact of changes in the physiological characteristics and psychological characteristics of the elderly and other factors on product design,explores the user’s needs and emotional needs in depth,and designs a mobility tool that meets the user’s needs and market demands.We design a mobility tool that meets the needs of users and the market.The project will effectively solve the problem of elderly people’s difficulty in getting around and give them a sense of happiness and pleasure in driving.The project firstly collected the research results of domestic and foreign scholars on mobility tools for the elderly and emotional design theory as the theoretical basis of the project;next,we studied the three levels of emotional design theory and clarified the relationship between the three levels of emotional design theory and product design;then we conducted market research on mobility tools for the elderly and summarized the current pain points and development trend of mobility tools for the elderly;next,we studied the target Next,we studied the target users,obtained user needs through interviews and questionnaires,classified user needs by KJ method,introduced KANO-QFD model to map user needs into design elements,and output the priority ranking of design elements;next,we studied the emotional design of mobility tools for the elderly,and constructed the design method and process of mobility tools for the elderly through the analysis of emotional cases and the research results above;finally,we studied the emotional design method and process of mobility tools for the elderly through the research results above.Finally,the design practice and design evaluation will be carried out by using the priority ranking of design elements outputted above.We hope that this research can provide a reference case for researchers on mobility tools for the elderly.
