| With overwhelming globalization,multinational corporations have grown rapidly.Good enterprise management is not only conducive to improving the competitiveness of enterprises,but also contributes to the development of the national economy.The source text of this translation practice report is excerpted from the first and second chapters of the book Talent Management in Small and medium-sized enterprises,which belongs to the business management text and focuses on accurate and effective transmission of business cutting-edge information.Communicative translation theory attaches great importance to the expressive effect of the source text and the readers’ understanding and feeling.Therefore,taking communicative translation theory as the theoretical guidance of the business management text translation is conducive to improving the translation quality of this kind of text translation.Based on the feature analysis of the source texts,this study applies communicative translation theory to the translation of business management texts.Appropriate translation solutions are worked out to the problems on lexical level,syntactic level and discourse level,which are analyzed and summarized in the translation report aiming to provide reference for further studies on translation of similar texts.The translator believes that translation of business management text shall follow the principle of reader-oriented to accurately convey the meaning of the original text and improve the readability of the translation.Specifically,on lexical level,contextual analysis,annotation and literal translation are suggested to translate polysemous words,technical terms and acronyms.On syntactic level,sentence pattern adjustment and splitting are adopted to translate passive voice and long and complicated sentences.On discourse level,reiteration,reference and conjunction are applied to ensure cohesion and coherence of the translated text. |
