Since the development of multimodal discourse analysis theory,further research has been carried out in various fields,among which the research on language teaching has been deepened,and the concept of multimodal teaching has been proposed,that is,the use of multiple modalities in the classroom to mobilize students’ multiple senses to participate in learning and stimulate their interest in learning,such as:language,pictures,audio and video,etc.International Chinese teaching is essentially a kind of multimodal teaching,especially because of the continuous recurrence of the new crown epidemic in rec ent years,some of the international Chinese teaching has been forced to switch to online teaching,which highlights the characteristics of its multi-modal teaching,so this pap er introduces the research of multimodal discourse analysis theory into the field of international Chinese online teaching,taking the primary Chinese comprehensive course for international students as an example,and researches the application of multimodal teaching mode in international Chinese online teaching through teaching design and practice.First of all,in order to understand the current situation of online elementary Chinese comprehensive courses,this paper investigates and studies the Chinese problems existing in the current online Chinese comprehensive courses and the teachers’ use of various modalities through the method of questionnaire survey,and learns that most of the modalities used by teachers in online teaching are relatively single,lack of rich teaching forms,and have problems such as weak teacher-student interaction and low student learning efficiency.Secondly,in order to verify the application of the multimodal teaching mode to the improvement of these problems in the online elementary Chinese comprehensive course,taking the author’s specific teaching practice as an example,the multimodal teaching mode is used to carry out detailed teaching design,and the real teaching feedback is obtained from students and teachers through questionnaires and interviews after class,and it is found that the multimodal teaching mode can effectively stimulate students’ interest in learning,help students better understand and master classroom knowledge,and effectively improve leaching effects.Finally,through teaching reflection and the evaluation of the teachers,the author puts forward relevant suggestions for teachers and students to use multi-modal teaching mode in online Chinese teaching.The advantages of multimodal teaching are obvious,it can not only effectively stimulate students’ interest in learning,enhance the interaction between teachers and students,improve students’ learning efficiency and Chinese level,and optimize the teaching effect of the classroom.This study has certain practical significance for online elementary Chinese comprehensive courses,and can also provide some inspiration for front-line international Chinese teachers when teaching elementary Chinese comprehensive courses. |
