The comprehensive course is the core foundation of teaching Chinese as the second language,and it occupies an important position in the whole curriculum system,while the elementary level is the basic stage of Chinese language learning,which is the key period for the success of subsequent learning.The purpose of the elementary Chinese comprehensive course is to cultivate students’ ability to communicate in the Chinese cultural context by using their listening,speaking,reading,writing and other language skills,and this communicative ability is actually the result of the combined effect of Chinese language elements,Chinese language skills,Chinese cultural thinking and Chinese cultural environment.Therefore,the cultivation of Chinese cultural thinking and the setting of Chinese cultural environment are important aspects of teaching in the comprehensive course,especially in the elementary Chinese comprehensive course.The Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture aims to experience and practice the culture of the target language,emphasizing students’ ability to communicate accurately and appropriately in a cultural environment that simulates the target language and is guided by the cultural thinking of the target language,so that students can enhance their intercultural communication skills while accumulating language knowledge.Therefore,the characteristics of the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture using the target language thinking to practice and develop the communication skills in the cultural environment.This paper is based on the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture,and the teaching design is based on the elementary level Chinese learners as the teaching target.The paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,which describes the significance purpose of this paper,the research method and the related literature review.This paper divides the research status into three parts,and carries out a detailed sorting,analysis and summary respectively.The second chapter discusses the emergence,development,concept and characteristics of the Pedagory of Performing Another Culture,aiming to provide relevant theoretical basis for the research and discussion of this paper;The third chapter mainly analyzes the feasibility of the method from two aspects: the teaching elements and advantages of the related application of the method in the comprehensive course of primary Chinese;Chapter 4 applies the cultural teaching method to the dialogue text "Tomatoes and Eggs" and the short text "Golden Week: A Week of Fun",and carries out specific teaching design;Chapter 5 reflects on the teaching content designed in the fourth part,disassembles and analyzes the different problems,summarizes and puts forward reasonable suggestions;Chapter 6 concludes the thesis and points out the shortcomings of this thesis in the process of writing,hoping to provide some reference for the application of the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture to the teaching design of elementary Chinese integrated class.
