The comprehensive course is a key course in the teaching system of Chinese International Education,but at present,the course is still mainly taught by teachers,and the students’ sense of participation is weak,and it pays attention to the learning of students’ language knowledge,while ignoring the intensive training of students’ communicative ability.The performance culture teaching method is a second language teaching method that organically combines language,culture and communication,and uses experience and practice as the main means to train students to communicate appropriately in a specific cultural environment.It emphasizes that the core purpose of language teaching is to cultivate learners’ ability to use the target language to achieve language communication.Therefore,in the teaching design advocated by the performance culture teaching method,an effective target language learning environment should be created for learners,and learners should be encouraged to fully invest in the script,so as to cultivate cross-cultural communication skills and establish a second Cultural worldview.Based on the theoretical guidance of the performance culture teaching method,and according to the teaching objectives and teaching characteristics of the Chinese elementary comprehensive course,this paper adopts the literature data method,the analysis and induction method and the teaching practice method.Selected the New Practical Chinese Textbook,Volume3,Lesson 27,Do as the Romans do as the teaching content,and carried out a detailed teaching design for it.The specific contents are as follows:The first part is the introduction.Analyze the research background and significance of the selected topic,literature review,research content and research methods.The second part is an overview of the performance culture teaching method.This chapter expounds the relevant content of the performance culture teaching method,including the meaning of the teaching method,the teaching principle diagram,the teaching method and mode,and the evaluation standard.The third part is the analysis of relevant elements of instructional design.Under the guidance of the performance culture teaching method,the relevant elements of the teaching design of the elementary Chinese comprehensive course are analyzed,mainly including the analysis of the teaching environment,the analysis of the teaching object,and the analysis and selection of the teaching content.The fourth part is the teaching design plan of Do as the Romans do.Based on the performance culture teaching method,the specific text content of Do as the Romans do is selected for teaching design,including teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching difficulties,teaching methods and teaching procedures.The fifth part is the evaluation and reflection of instructional design.Teachers evaluate students’ performance,obtain teaching feedback through communication with students,and summarize the overall situation of teaching design,including advantages,areas for improvement,and suggestions for improvement.
