In language learning,the use of learning strategies will directly affect learning outcomes.In the post epidemic era,after three years of online teaching,the international Chinese online teaching model has received increasing attention,The investigation and research on learning strategies in the online teaching environment can deepen and enrich the research on improving the effectiveness of international Chinese online teaching.According to the Oxford Learning Strategy Classification System,a learning strategy use questionnaire for online Chinese learners was developed,and on this basis,a questionnaire was designed,along with an interview outline.We have defined the category of online learning strategies and determined the theoretical basis of this study by combing the research results of learning strategies.Interview and survey online Chinese learners.The results of the questionnaire and interview were statistically analyzed from six dimensions: memory strategy,cognitive strategy,compensation strategy,metacognitive strategy,emotional strategy,and social strategy.We found that in the context of online learning,learners use compensation strategies the most frequently and use social strategies the least frequently,which is closely related to the characteristics of online teaching,Therefore,this article analyzes the use of learning strategies by online Chinese learners and its reasons based on the characteristics of online teaching.After investigating the use of learning strategies by online Chinese learners,we found that online Chinese learners do not like online teaching,and there are also problems with online teaching such as insufficient content,single teaching forms,and weak interactivity,These factors all affect learners’ use of learning strategies.Based on this,we have proposed corresponding opinions for online Chinese teachers and online Chinese learners.It is hoped that this study can provide a reference for the study of online Chinese learning strategies,provide some enlightenment for Chinese teachers in online teaching,and help improve the Chinese language proficiency of online Chinese learners.
